Introduction
Twas a pretty intense 3 hours, speeding through a plethora of amazing and fun wines all packed into a small restaurant. Informative, casual, fun, and way too much options. The tasting notes here are mere 10-second blinks, edging on vapid, but nevertheless still educational enough, with enough tags to jog my memory.
Flight 1 - Elegant and Aromatics (22 notes)

2016 Helm Riesling Classic Dry
soapy perfume, slatey, round white fruit, talc, soft and restrained, elegant, with some offdry characters. Orange blossom and gravel finish. Needs time to grow.

grassy, sharp acid, slate and steel. Lime, linear and crisp finish. Papery?

light funky yeast. Classy, layered and transparent. Fresh florals, light and clean finish.

dark tomato, leafy. Pastilles and (oddly) cucumber. Serious certainly, but starting to drink

[1/3-2/3 Shiraz Cab] Dark classy fruit. Dusty spices, complex nose. Leafy with pastilles herbs and dark berries. Tight fine tannins, finishing with earthy barnyard funk... Possibly the yummiest (and most logical) Shiraz Cab tried today. Good way to finish!
