Flight 1 (10 notes)
Red
2014 Lucien Le Moine Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Rouge
89 points
Tasting, brief note. Strawberry and red cherry aromas and flavors. Earthy start, followed by some intriguing mineral textures, then a slightly rustic finish showing its clay-based soil heritage. Good for the medium term.
Red
2014 Lucien Le Moine Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Chabiots
90 points
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Very bright red berry with nuanced mineral textures. More elegant now than incredibly tasty, with a long finish. More floral and spice notes started emerging with more time in glass.

Red
2014 Lucien Le Moine Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes
91 points
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Floral with lots of enticing spice and bright red fruit aromas. Palate starts very firm and less fun vs palate, but some air allows it to transform into a weightless/ charming wine with moderate weight, long finish. Cellar at least a few more years.
Red
2014 Lucien Le Moine Latricières-Chambertin
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Ripe black plum and cherry on nose and palate. Not very forward or accessible, but clearly dense and intense. Picks up weight toward finish. Not really pleasurable right now, but certainly cellarworthy, perhaps from 2025 forward. 91-92 point potential.

2014 Lucien Le Moine Griotte-Chambertin

Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. I might be underrating this beauty. Bright red and black cherry with superb elegance coming through this early. Quietly powerful. Sneaky beauty.
Red
2013 Rotem & Mounir Saouma Châteauneuf-du-Pape Omnia
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Black and red cherry with plenty of earth for wine so young. Hmmm. Lots of reduction. All 13 varietals. All 5 CDP villages. All modes of fermentation and aging. More interesting than tasty?
Red
2009 Rotem & Mounir Saouma Châteauneuf-du-Pape Arioso
93 points
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. From Pignan. Dense and very rich with a almost sweet character while also beautifully balanced. 15 hl/ha! Very concentrated, very elegant.
White
2014 Lucien Le Moine Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Lots of reduction to start, so not much coming across aromatically. Leon and lemon peel flavors. Good concentration, but still overall almost impossible to fairly assess.
White
2014 Lucien Le Moine Corton-Charlemagne
93 points
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Not really forthcoming on nose, but wonderfully expressive flavors. Big, dense and really nicely meaty. Very long finish.

2013 Rotem & Mounir Saouma Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Magis
Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. 80% Grenache blanc and 20% lots of other stuff. I found this very tough to assess. Just moderately expressive on nose today. Rich textures, rich flavors, but moderte nuance. Interesting, but rather different for my palate.
