2015 De Martino Carménère Legado Reserva Chile, Maipo Valley
Aromas of red cherry, licorice, coffee, pressed violets. Bold black fruit on the palate with minor secondary notes. Medium-bodied, broad-grain tannins. Pleasant finish.

2015 Viña Tarapacá Carménère Gran Reserva Chile, Maipo Valley
Aromas and notes of bell pepper, cassis, star anise, rosemary & blueberry fruit. Shows a little more red fruit on the palate with spice notes adding depth. Juicy acid, medium body, broad grainy tannin on the finish.

2011 Casa Silva Carménère Los Lingues Chile, Rapel Valley, Colchagua Valley
Aromas of cracked pepper, cassis, pressed flowers, roasted coffee. Red berry fruit on the palate, with spice and dried floral depth. Broad and rangy on the palate, juicy acidity. Broad tannins, medium finish. Nicely done.

Aromas of graphite, lavender, blackberry, espresso, spices- very expressive. Beautiful elegance and richness on the palate. Seamless depth, stately in texture. Well-balanced throughout, with round silky tannins and a full finish. Excellent.

Aromas of roses, dill, cassis, white pepper and black tea- nice complexity. Showing bright red fruit and spices on the palate, rich and elegant in texture. Good depth. Full smooth tannins, finishing full. Excellent.

Aromas of blueberry, violet, black tea and spices. Full and ripe, showing nice balance and purity of fruit. Decent depth, nice mouthfeel. Round-grainy tannins. Good QPR.

Aromas of roasted coffee, cassis, pressed flowers. Deep and rich palate, with great fruit purity, dense secondary depth, and silky elegant feel. Fine broad tannins, good length on the finish. Excellent. Outstanding QPR.

Aromas of cherry, licorice, leather, and black tea. Full fruit and layered spice on the palate, round seamless texture and feel. Broad grainy tannin, nice depth on the finish. Very good.

2012 Neyen Espiritu de Apalta Chile, Rapel Valley, Colchagua Valley
Aromas of dried flowers, leather, tobacco, cassis, cedar, earth. Big and dense palate, seamlessly layered and well-balanced. Full bodied, stately and well-built texture, adding hints of dill spice. Full grainy tannins. Full finish. Very nice.
