Introduction

What they had on the coravin board today plus a small taste of a special Grand Cru Chablis.

Flight 1 (4 notes)

Red
2006 Marcarini Barolo La Serra Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
Earth, hazelnuts wrapped in mild cranberries. Minerality. Tannins are still drying and there is a bright acidity. Still needs time, won't be amazing but it's solid.
Red
1996 Bodegas Vega-Sicilia Ribera del Duero Valbuena 5° Spain, Castilla y León, Ribera del Duero
91 points
Mint, smoked meat, tannins are completely integrated. Very vibrant acidity. Long finish.
White
2010 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ-Canet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
92 points
Sour cream and melon on the nose and palate. Beautiful finish no rough edges. Beautiful.
White
2011 Dauvissat-Camus Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
93 points
Very clean on the palate. Mineral driven. Amazingly there are subtle chocolate notes and sweet melon. Really great.
