Introduction
What they had on the coravin board today plus a small taste of a special Grand Cru Chablis.
Flight 1 (4 notes)
Red
2006 Marcarini Barolo La Serra
Earth, hazelnuts wrapped in mild cranberries. Minerality. Tannins are still drying and there is a bright acidity. Still needs time, won't be amazing but it's solid.
Red
1996 Bodegas Vega-Sicilia Ribera del Duero Valbuena 5°
91 points
Mint, smoked meat, tannins are completely integrated. Very vibrant acidity. Long finish.
White
2010 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ-Canet
92 points
Sour cream and melon on the nose and palate. Beautiful finish no rough edges. Beautiful.
White
2011 Dauvissat-Camus Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses
93 points
Very clean on the palate. Mineral driven. Amazingly there are subtle chocolate notes and sweet melon. Really great.
