Very soft and neutral on the nose. A little off. Maybe just following the vintage. Best in mouth with depth and a good length. It can be recommended although I would expect to enjoy it more in a harvest like 2015.

In the mouth it is an impossible wine, its high acidity prevents any enjoyment. If it really is the wine that comes to replace Ariana, it should not have problems to be in shape in seven years.

From magnum. Cornucopia of well-defined aromas and among them those mineral and memories to baked corn cobs. Yummy. I remain impressed with precision and elegance. Vintage after vintage. In the mouth needs to be polished. I am surrendered to this wine. For one of the greatest Spanish whites you have to look a "little down under".

It has that "il a quelque chose" which, in my humble opinion, puts it into the category of superior wines. Although some would like to pair this wine with those of "natural features" these fresh, transparent and limpid bottles are closer to Jura and Burgundy than to Slovenia.
It is a very good wine, if not an outstanding one that does not stop to distribute nuances like new cards in a poker game. Always a great choice.

Tiene "ese no se qué" el cual, en mi modesta opinión, le pone en una categoría de vino superior. Aunque a algunos les gustaría hermanar a este vino con los de "rasgos naturales" estas frescas, transparentes y límpidas botellas se aproximan más a Jura y a borgoñas que a Eslovenia.
Es un vino buen hecho, que no para de repartir matices a modo de cartas en una timba de póquer. Una elección segura.

It can not be compared to El Ciruelo but after a little airing those elegant notes of minerals and red fruits from the forest appear. Everything presented with harmony and smoothness. In the mouth it is begging for a couple of years more to round up. Keep flying high indeed.

A wine made with 50% blend of foreign and native grapes. Nose: ripe fruit aromas and roasted notes predominate. Not the best combination. Lack of sense of harmony and plenty of heat. Despite this the presence of the grape mantonegro adds a sweet touch to the whole.

Un vino de mezcla al 50% de uvas foráneas y autóctonas. En nariz predominan los aromas a fruta muy madura y notas torrefactas. No es la mejor combinación. Falta sentido de la armonía y sobra calor. Sin así la presencia de la uva mantonegro aporta un toque goloso al conjunto.

It really is called B Selection. Grosser though Obac. Very warm in the mouth. Balsamic and boring. Each element goes into its own. It needs to be polished in my humble opinion.

Realmente se llama B Selecció. Más tosco aún que Obac. Muy cálido en boca. Balsámico y aburrido. Cada elemento va a su aire. Necesita pulirse en mi humilde opinión.

Mantonegro and Merlot coming from a supposed ecological grow.
It is a fruit bomb with a great variety of black fruit jams. Not very well defined but pleasant after all. One would expect a heavy and overextracted wine in the mouth and is somewhat warm (alcohol) but with freshness and fair acidity.

Mantonegro y Merlot procedentes de un supuesto cultivo ecológico.
Es una bomba frutal con gran variedad de confituras de fruta negra. No muy bien definida pero agradable al fin y al cabo. Uno esperaría un vino pesado y sobrextractado en boca y se encuentra algo cálido (alcohol) pero con frescura y la justa acidez.

How difficult to find a bad Galician wine in 2015.
This is no exception. Obvious it still has edges that time should polish but all the necessary elements: acidity, fruit and tension are already there. In my experience this wine has life beyond five-seven years. To expect harmony. It is coming.

Este no es una excepción. Evidente te tiene aún aristas que el tiempo debe pulir pero todos los elementos necesarios: acidez, fruta y tensión están ya ahí. En mi experiencia este vino tiene vida más allá de los cinco-siete años. A esperar la armonía. Ya llega.

A curiosity very well achieved. Before balsamic this wine presents notes of fresh black and red fruit appearing along with mineral memories of slate and chalk.
In the mouth it accompanies that initial impression although it is heavier. Infinite aftertaste.

Mixture of old vineyards of Mencía, Caño, Garnacha Tintorera, Sousón and Brancellao.
Nose is complex with memories of minerals and fresh notes of thyme or Indian spices. On the other hand the palate is very balsamic although of a young acidity and very direct. It can only evolve for the better.

This time even better. Reloaded-like. Superior class. Full of balanced aromas of nuts and toffee. Medium bodied with an endless aftertaste. Supreme almost sweet amontillado yet it is not my style. Surprisely. I am really impressed.

En este trago este PC conserva los aromas a cítricos confitados y a frutos secos garrapiñados. Una delicia. Y todavía tiene tiempo para mostrar notas lácticas. Multifacético. Ideal para el puro habano de después del café.

Lost its identity this time among too much sweetness.
I mean its soul was soaked in PX, giving just a little traces of what it should be. A bit shortie and dirty finish. Maybe a bad condition bottle even coming directly from winery. Who knows.
In spite of that worked very well with Jamón de Teruel.

Less impressed than the first time. It maintains that depth and those smokes, but in my modest opinion it has lost some of that initial magic.
I noticed it more directly, too marked by yeast and wood on the nose. Always better on the palate where that long final bitterness is the undisputed champion.
I could not find out when this Amontillado was bottled.

Me impresionó bastante menos que la primer vez. Mantiene esa profundidad y esos ahumados pero en mi modesta opinión ha perdido parte de esa magia inicial.
Lo noté más directo, demasiado marcado por la levadura y por la madera en nariz. Siempre mejor al paladar donde ese larguísimo amargor final es el campeón indiscutible.
No pude enterarme de cuándo fue embotellado este Amontillado.

Lacquers and varnishes do not let us enjoy the wine.
I was not able to glimpse the character of a PC here. Rather I thought of an Amontillado: with a gentle and softie attack, full of aromas of nuts and cocoa without trace of lactic elements. All these elements were so hidden by the varnishes that I almost dislocated my wrist to appear them timidly.
In the mouth it continued with that pattern of Amontillado: acid and full of memories of the "flor". Bitter and very delicate.
It did not convince me at all. Sorry.

Las lacas y los barnices no nos dejan disfrutar del conjunto.
No fui capaz de vislumbrar el carácter de un PC aquí. Más bien me pareció un Amontillado: con un ataque suave y amable, lleno de aromas a frutos secos y cacao sin rastro de elementos lácticos. . Todos estos elementos estaban tan ocultos por los barnices que casi me disloco la muñeca para que se asomasen tímidamente.
En boca seguía con ese patrón de Amontillado: ácido y lleno de recuerdos a la flor. Amargo y muy delicado.
No me convenció para nada. Lo siento.

Again a VORS marked by the artificial aromas of varnishes.
After letting it air a little appear subtle, weak aromas of raisins, plums and pure cocoa.
Better development on the palate with good acidity and a well integrated alcohol. Maybe after all it's not my style.

If I compare to the other wines of the line 1730, this fragrant Oloroso is the undoubted winner. And, no surprise, does not have the highest score.
Of a brilliant mahogany colour that dazzles. On the nose has depth and is shown by layers where the wood is integrated with sweetness and there is no glimmer of any varnishes.
The passage through the throat is silky and aristocratic with sweet notes of licorice and bitter nutmeg. Great combination, that is impossible to spit. Long seconds of pleasure. Highly recommended.

Si lo comparo con los otros vinos de la línea 1730, este oloroso es el indudable ganador. Y eso que no tiene la puntuación más alta. Aunque no me sorprende.
De un color caoba brillante que deslumbra. En nariz tiene profundidad y se muestra por capas donde la madera está integrada con dulzor y no hay atisbo alguno de barnices.
El paso por la garganta es sedoso y aristocrático con notas dulces de regaliz y amargas de la nuez moscada. Gran combinación que es imposible de escupir. Largos segundos de placer. Totalmente recomendado.

Little boring PX with primary aromas of raisins, figs or dates. Nothing sophisticated anyway.
Evidently sweet in the mouth with a well-balanced alcohol and a not very good length. A bit ordinary at its best and obviously that isn't what you're looking for in a no-labelled VOS.
Lowest score among its 1730 peers according with wine critics. Understood why.

Un PX un poco aburrido con aromas primarios de pasas, higos o dátiles. Nada sofisticado de todos modos.
Evidentemente dulce en la boca con un alcohol bien equilibrado y una longitud no muy buena. Un poco ordinario en su mejor momento y obviamente eso no es lo que estás buscando en un VOS no etiquetado.
La puntuación más baja entre sus pares de 1730 de acuerdo con los críticos. Entendido el porqué.
