Flight 1 (2 notes)

Red
2003 Château Léoville Poyferré France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien
92 points
Moderately aromatic, black fruit, some St. Julien minerality; palate is full bodied, medium integrated tannins, blackberry, medium-plus acid; medium finish. Very well balanced, drinkable and enjoyable now but still quite youthful. I think this will be better in 5-10 years. 92 now.
Red
2002 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Allen Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
91 points
Aromatic candied cherry, slight balsamic vinegar, really complex; light bodied, medium alcohol, red strawberry fruit, ripe and candied; medium finish. Nice and complex but seems a bit ripe for my preference. Still good... 91
