Flight 3 (2 notes)

White
2017 Realm Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Fidelio USA, California, Napa Valley
95 points
The wine just screams classic Sauvignon Blanc with lots of cats pee and gooseberries.
It is a really good wine with lots of depth but it clearly lacks acidity and the alcohol does dominate a little bit.
The sheer fruit depth and mouthfeel does however makes it better despite its flaws.
White
2015 Realm Cellars Sauvignon Blanc ibid.farella Farella Vineyard USA, California, Napa Valley, Coombsville
92 points
Shows classic Sauvignon Blanc flavors but lacks intensity and depth. Could also need more acidity. Still, very fun to taste!

Flight 4 (1 note)

White
2005 Hartford / Hartford Court Chardonnay Stone Côte Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
94 points
Very nice depth of exotic fruits and very well developed. It still has freshness and is a solid wine. Very impressive.

Flight 5 (2 notes)

Red
2009 JP Harbison Cabernet Sauvignon Premiere Napa Valley Lot 77 Estate USA, California, Napa Valley, Oakville
97 points
Lovely and smooth black currant fruit with plenty of depth. Great acidity and balance but still a very young wine.
The aftertaste is long and balanced. Great stuff and a beautiful wine.

Red
2011 Sine Qua Non Syrah Patine Eleven Confessions Vineyard USA, California, Central Coast, Sta. Rita Hills
98 points
Amazing wine that just leaps out of the glass. There is so much fruit depth and freshness without being overdone in any way.
This is another Huge wine from SQN. Amazing to taste this so young. Could use a lot more time to develop. Stunning and in perfect balance.

Red
2012 The Debate Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard USA, California, Napa Valley, Oakville
96 points
Very classic Napa Cab and overall very nice. Not overdone in any way and comes across as almost european in style.
But, unfortunately not as impressive as I would have hoped.

Flight 7 (2 notes)

Red
2004 Levy & McClellan Red USA, California, Napa Valley
96 points
Lovely and juicy black currant fruit but still with a dense core. The tannins are soft and developed and it seems to have matured very nicely.
There is a lot to love in this wine and it will continue to improve. A pleasure to taste such a rare bottle!

Red
2015 Realm Cellars Moonracer Realm Estate USA, California, Napa Valley, Stags Leap District
98 points
Very rich and extremely young fruit. Even though it is very young, it is drinking very nicely.
There is lots of blueberries and black currants but still in an almost airy style.
The intensity of the wine is just amazing and keeps you going back to it. Great balance and airyness and the acidity is just amazing.

Flight 9 (1 note)

Red - Fortified
1945 Château Las Collas Rivesaltes France, Languedoc Roussillon, Roussillon, Rivesaltes
92 points
Nicely developed but nothing as exciting as hoped.
