Flight 1 (3 notes)

White
2013 La Chablisienne Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles Château Grenouilles France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
94 points
Surprised to see it so accessible now, with that amazing purity of fruit, that great transparency while there is so much ongoing like flowers and fruits met by chieseled acidity and minerality. Balanced with the easiness of an elegant wine, while maintaining structure.
White
2015 Maison Albert Bichot Chablis Grand Cru Moutonne Domaine Long-Depaquit France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
92 points
Muted on the nose with a little bit of peach, a bit of citrus, oak is still dominating though, with time in the glass it is getting more expressive and layered and reveling its complexity, but definetely needs time to blossom.
White
2014 Joseph Drouhin Chassagne-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet
92 points
Very smooth and harmonious, slight citrusy aromas mixed with brioche and white flowers. Balanced and silky now, well made delicious with elegant energy.

Flight 2 (3 notes)

Red
2013 Montes Purple Angel Chile, Rapel Valley, Colchagua Valley
91 points
Carmenere based icon wine that seems pushing too hard to be something it is not. Decent and delicious with all signiture Carmenere flavors it is nicely structured and delicious wine that probably needs a bit more elegance to make it to premium category.
Red
2012 Viña Cono Sur Pinot Noir Ocio Chile, Casablanca Valley
Oxydative style ? or bottle ?. Some spices and tobacco with subtle red fruit, decent freshness, but not really what you expect from the best PN from Cono Sur. - 88-89p
Red
2006 Chateau Musar Lebanon, Bekaa Valley
92 points
If blind I would totally go South France. This is so nicely balanced, polished and charming, yet vivid and energetic, beautifully drinking now but no rush.

Red
2011 E. Guigal Châteauneuf-du-Pape France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
92 points
Excellent for drinking now, with its rounded full body, oily with ripe plums and some spices - lavender ?, Harmony and consistence - start to finish.
Red
2015 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
92 points
Needed a lot of time and swirling in the glass to reveal itself, spicy with pure expression of fruits, a touch smoky with nice focus, for me 92 now but could easily go 94+ with time.

2013 Domaine du Vieux Lazaret Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Exceptionnelle France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Could not get much out of the glass even after 20 min of swirling, this probably needs a serious decanting.

Flight 4 (3 notes)

Red
2013 Marchesi de' Frescobaldi Castello di Nipozzano Mormoreto Toscana IGT Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
92 points
Rich and generous on the nose with red fruits and coffee, in the mouth - full bodied, again red fruits, spices, roasted coffee. This is Cabernet Sauvignon based blend with some help from CF, Sangiovese and a touch of Petit Verdot, well made that fits nicely in the Nipozzano estate style.
While I woud like to see more charm and character (could come with age), it is surely a crowd pleaser.
Red
2015 Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana IGT Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
92 points
Tasted for a second time for the last 2 months, this bottle needed to be open more in advance, but nevertheless here is what I got - CS based blend that is coming velvety with finely grained tannin structure, a bit of chocolate, a dash of blueberries and other ripe forrest fruits, again finely structured but with that violet-purpe color it is a baby.

2010 Tenuta di Biserno Biserno Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
94 points
Really pleasing now with its perfect balance. All parts are integrated - fruits, oak flavors, some flowers as well noted and all backed by minerality.Tannins approachable and it is very nice for drinking now.

Flight 5 (3 notes)

Red
2009 Marqués de Murrieta Rioja Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja
95 points
Mind blowing nose, developed and with that uttelry delicious feeling of dried fig, in the mouth ready and so pleasing, tannins present and solid but so friendly. This is by far and away the most compelling Murrieata red I have ever tried and I clearly see what the hype about this wine is all about.

Red
2012 Torres Cabernet Sauvignon (Black Label) Mas La Plana Spain, Catalunya, Penedès
93 points
Needed a lot of time to reveal its pedigree. Bursting with CS typicity with a little twist from Torres this wine is so savory and precise with that feeling of tannins that are solid but reallly accesible now with a bit of air.
Red
2014 Cellers de Scala Dei Priorat Cartoixa Spain, Catalunya, Priorat
Enjoyed a glass of this wine but for all the 30 min I was swirling it in the glass it showed nothing but a tight and closed appearance. Everything was in place, like color and no obvious defects, but this IMO is a wine that will need a lot of time to reveal its real qualities. I will definetely be very curious to try this one in 5-6y time.

Flight 6 (2 notes)

Red
2013 Merryvale Profile USA, California, Napa Valley
95 points
Quite solid, this is bursting with depth and power but in such a nicely shaped and precised way that greatness is easily recognisible. Tannins firm and solid meet the mixed berries and dark chocolate flavors in a balanced Bordeaux quality way, great wine.
Blend is 83% CS, 12% PV, 5% CF.
Red
2012 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown Napa Valley USA, California, Napa Valley
I see the quality but not really fan of this style, could be misjudging here but would like to see more savoriness and tension along with that quality fruit.

Red
2006 Masi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Campolongo di Torbe Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
91 points
Well I was expecting to be blown away here, but as it often happens high expectation leads to certain disappintments. This is by all means excellent wine with its refined and elgant style, but just lacks the depth and precision of really great ones.
Red
2012 Tenuta Sant'Antonio Amarone della Valpolicella Campo dei Gigli Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Amarone della Valpolicella
91 points
Dark fruits, chocolate some tobacco as well, nicely rounded and polished powerhouse that is just starting to be accessible.
White - Sweet/Dessert
2015 Ferruccio Deiana Oirad Isola dei Nuraghi IGT Italy, Sardinia, Isola dei Nuraghi IGT
92 points
Luscious and inviting it is really nice with that sweet apricot and honey taste with some rich vanilla and almond notes> A touch more acidity could bring more grace but god as it is, albeit a nit pricey.
