I found this relatively compact and shut down right now. Orchard fruit and biscuit nose, that is pleasant enough but the palate is more lean and angular than generous. Lots of upside. Hold.

Full nose of chalk, mineral and underripe orchard fruit. Palate is lean yet features good concentration of stern orchard fruit. Mineral and citrus zest add complexity. Perhaps this fleshes out and gets a bit better with age.

In an unplanned and interesting 09/12 side-by-side. Yum, generous aromas of sweet peach and apple with mineral. Amazing density and richness on the palate with intense mineral, tropical notes. Really fun now.

In an unplanned 09/12 side-by-side vertical. Similar character but leaner and with more cutting acids than the 09. With time and air, the wine opens to shows more stuffing, sweet fruit and mineral. The '09 provided more pleasure tonight, but the '12 is clearly a better wine in the long run. 2-3 points of upside.

A weird wine --- kind of odd salty, earthy nose that opens to show some wax and dried florals. The palate is also savory with waxy light-bodied fruit. Good persistence and structure. Just not a flavor profile that gives me much pleasure.

Ultimately corked ... after much debate, I concede this was corked despite the lack of pronounced wet cardboard. Not showing as it should. Simple nose and leaner, stripped palate.

Saves the day after two corked Pinots. Young and not yet showing its potential, I still enjoyed this for its pretty, pure red fruits. Aromatics are tight and primarily about red fruits. The palate has pretty and transparent red cherry with florals. Elegantly styled. Better in 10 years. 92 today, with upside.

Lighter on the nose with less intense but classic notes black fruit and savory notes. Pretty on the palate palate, showing sweet and savory elements. Ultimately just lighter and with less depth than you'd like in your Jamet Cote Rotie.

Popped, left in the bottle for 60-90 minutes, and poured ... which ultimately wasn't nearly enough air for this one. Nose is essentially closed showing notions of black cherry and balsam. The palate is so pure and divine, packed with dense, pure, driving cherry fruit and suave, fine, ripe tannin. Florals and new leather just starting to emerge on the palate hinting at the depth this wine will ultimately show. Major upside from here.

A revelatory wine from Oz. Aromas of young, ripe black fruit with, green herbs, tar, spice and hints of American oak. Wow, this is packed with so much richness and sweet concentrated fruit. Big attack is followed by long ethereal, complex notes of herb and spice. Brilliant.

Aged white fruit and diesel aromas. Round with good fruit richness that is now fully dry. Interesting depth of flavor and reasonably fresh.

Big nose of exotic spice, apples, apple cider and dried florals. The palate is less exciting but has well-balance off-dry round and rich fruit.
