An old chap with its lactic notes on a bed of hay. Slightly tropical. Medium bodied with a pointy acidity. Tremendous, powerful bitterness that numbs your throat.

Un viejo conocido con sus notas lácticas sobre lecho de heno. Ligeramente tropical. De buen cuerpo y puntiaguda acidez. Tremendo, poderoso amargor que duerme la garganta.

Slightly metallic at first but dissipates quickly. Feeling of terroir with mineral, earthy notes and complexity with floral and cereal hints. Creamy on the palate with memories of that bitterness of the white fruit bone. It has real class. It deserves to sleep another seven years in your cellar. Clearly WOTN.

Ligeramente metálico al principio se disipa enseguida. Sentimiento de terruño con notas minerales, terrosas y complejidad con notas florales y de cereales. Cremoso al paladar con recuerdos al amargor del hueso de fruta blanca. Tiene clase de verdad. Merece dormir otros siete años en tu bodega. Claramente el ganador de la cata.

Simply frightening: patchwork of strawberries and rotten plums with a wooden plank traversed. Kurtz is happy again.
A cooperative from la Mancha wine (also from a Manchuela producer who thinks he knows how to make some crap of this). Astringent and unbalanced.

Sencillamente espantoso: colonia de retales de fresas y ciruelas podridas con un tablón de madera atravesado. Kurtz está feliz.

Initially it stings a little on the nose. It has something more elegance but little to be mentioned. Modern with rustic notes of red and black fruits. Not very extracted although it is a really hard wine. Fifteen-year-old vineyards, the youngest of the house. Without wood with which it does not soften.

Inicialmente pica un poco en nariz. Tiene algo más de elegancia pero poca como para ser destacada. Moderno con notas rústicas a frutos rojos y negros. No muy extractado aunque está duro de verdad. Viñedos de quince años, los jovencitos de la casa. Sin madera con lo cual no se suaviza.

Hard as a pelota of baseball in the mouth. All wood with roasted notes. Its time will come. Or not. On the nose stands out for a vegetable note with some minerality. Also smells like memories of fresh red fruit. The three varieties are mixed just at the end of the process.

Duro como una pelota de frontón en boca. Todo madera con nota torrefactas. Su hora llegará. O no. En nariz destaca por una nota vegetal con algo de mineralidad. También parecen recuerdos de fruta roja fresca. Se mezclan al final las tres variedades.

A thousand times better than its younger sister but still serious until the end. In return, on the nose is more timid with memories of charcoal and elegant fruit. Not too bad at all.

Mil veces mejor que su hermana menor pero aún así seriedad hasta el fin. A cambio en nariz se manifiesta más tímida con recuerdos a carbón y a fruta elegante. No está mal del todo.

Elegance, memories of slate mineral and very ripe spiced fruit with a note of moisture that does not leave the wine during the whole tasting. Triggered acidity and a gigantic length. Rustic to say enough. Needs a boar of the kind that Obelix liked.

Elegancia, recuerdos a mineral de pizarra y a fruta muy madura especiada con una nota de humedad que no abandona el vino durante toda la cata. Acidez disparada y de una longitud gigantesca. Rústico hasta decir basta. Necesita un jabalí del tipo que le gustaban a Obelix.

The whole coal mines of Asturias on the nose. Pure anthracite. Also notes of liquorice and compote of fruit.
In the mouth it begins silky and suddenly it is Lacroix's Tempest painting: with acidity as usual, wood sticks in the gums and a bitter route that survives in the throat. God, I only ask you for health and years to be able to enjoy this within 40 years from now :-)

Las minas de Duro-Felguera en nariz. Pura antracita. También notas a regaliz y a fruta compotada.
En boca empieza sedoso y de repente es la Tempestad de Lacroix: con acidez de las que suelen, madera sea que se pega en las encías y un recorrido amargo que sobrevive en la garganta. Dios, sólo te pido salud y años para poder llegar a disfrutar esto dentro de 40 años.

Hawthorn flower and little more on the nose. I miss the mellowness of its cousins wines of Juraçon. In the mouth burns a little the esophagus for its acidity and I think it is something short. I have no idea how it will age but assuming optimal conditions would undoubtedly be a good choice.

Flor de espino y poco más en nariz. Echo de menos la melosidad del Juraçon. En boca quema un poquito el esófago por su acidez y de me antoja algo corto. No tengo ni idea de cómo envejecerá pero suponiendo unas condiciones óptimas sería sin duda una buena elección.
