White
2013 Ceritas Chardonnay Marena USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast

Floral yellow nose with some spice. Touches of cinnamon and sweet spice on the palate too.
Nice nutty honeyed fruit. Still great acidity. Very pretty and enjoyed by all as the welcome white.
White - Sparkling
2012 Williams Selyem Blanc de Noir Drake Estate Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
93 points
Mineral, white peaches, light spice and white floral notes too.
Very fine bubble structure.

Flight 2 (9 notes)

Red
2011 Dupont-Tisserandot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St. Jacques France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
91 points
Fruit driven. Zesty spicy raspberry, caramel and mocha elements.
Lighter finish - not too complex. Had lots of New World elements.
Red
2010 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Notorious USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
94 points
One of my standouts. Cloudy murky cranberry red - awesome. So pungent on the nose. Super peppery, truffles. So much funk. Lighter fruit notes still pronounced.
More funk and gorgeous texture on the palate. Bright red fruit, mushrooms and forest floor. Long finish. Killer juice. Highly recommended.

Red
2008 Maison Bertrand Ambroise Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
90 points
Modern styling. Some old world elements. Guessed RRV actually! Jeez. Nice wine but came across as a little fruit forward and candied on the back end.
Red
2012 Au Pied du Mont Chauve Corton-Clos des Fiètres France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
93 points
Gorgeous showing. Blood orange elements. Very high toned with road tar and lots of funk.
Some age showing but very elegant and super pretty apricot notes too. Unique and showing lots of Old World styling. Recommended.
Red
2007 Anthill Farms Pinot Noir Peters Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
92 points
Lovely showing here. Group WOTN actually! (Amongst the Pinots at least)
Spicy fruit. Some nice Old World elements. Floral nose. Very nice savory notes too.

flawed
Flawed bottle.
Red
2014 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir The Upper Terrace USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge
92 points
Tea nose. Unique elements. New World styling. Plump and juicy fruit on the finish. But still herbal notes balance this out as a whole. Maybe not worth the $100 but a nice wine.
Red
2013 Pisoni Pinot Noir Estate USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands
93 points
Another solid showing from Pisoni Estate.
Super cola notes. Very clean. Lots of fruit. Limited notes.

Rosé
2013 Sine Qua Non ...And An Eight Track USA, California, Central Coast
94 points
SQN Rose are always hit or miss for me.
This time it was hitting all the right cylinders.
Rich funky, pungent aromas of dark fruits, iron ore, road tar and some dark spice.
Balance is what the palate was all about for this big boy. Awesome performance this time.
Red
2013 Sine Qua Non Syrah ♂ USA, California, Central Coast
94 points
YES! Culty plums, smoke, meat, cassis. So SQN, so creamy and pleasing to the senses. Limited notes but this was a winner.
Tasted after blind Pinots.

2011 Schrader Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard USA, California, Napa Valley, Oakville
93 points
Culty and rich. Super rich. Gorgeous wine but actually wasn't QUITE up to the past Schrader I've been enamored with.
Lots of cassis, floral notes and that signature Schrader "Je ne sais what"...but they're always damn good.
