2016 Alain Hudelot-Noëllat Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Murgers

This is a super sexy and delicious wine. Shows more Vosne than NSG with sweet black fruit and loads of Vosne spice. A bit of toast too, which is well integrated and meshed with the fruit. So fun now.

N.V. Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée Edition 166eme

Everything you'd want in young Krug. Abundant amounts of toasty fruit, great energy and vibrance. Delicious now.

1999 Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Chatelots

This had been open for a few hours by the time I tasted a small glass. It's dense and heavy for a Chambolle without much nuance. Showing good earthiness. Fine, but not exciting.
Red
2006 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays
93 points
A fantastic 2006 that is showing quite well now. Full broad nose of red and black cherry, earth, clay and spice. Grand Cru concentration with excellent depth and nuance. So well balanced for a concentrated wine. Still primary with upside.
Red
2015 Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale
90 points
A fairly dense and big boned Marechale. Loads of fruit so it's approachable, but it's quite a sturdy wine with plenty of structure to go the distance. Upside as this settles in and gains nuance.
Red
2015 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots

Similar to the '15 Marechale tasted earlier, this is a big boned and concentrated NSG. Loads of black fruit with a subtle earth character. Will need lots of time to gain nuance.
Red
2002 Domaine Robert Arnoux / Arnoux-Lachaux Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots
95 points
A gorgeous wine through and through. Grand Cru level concentration. So much spice intensity, with new leather and toasted herbs adding complexity.
Red
2015 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Clos de La Bussière
93 points
My favorite of the 15s poured today. The nose is full and intense with red and black cherry fruit, spice and toasted herbs. Full bodied and intense. The structure seems more in harmony here and it's a less blocky wine. Seamless already.

2000 Coche-Dury Volnay 1er Cru

A bit shy on the nose, but it opens up with time in the glass. The palate is where this wine shines. Plump and juicy with good layering. Maturing fruit with nice dried floral and spice notes throughout. A fun bottle.
