Introduction

Nice tasting of the wines in Walla Walla.

Flight 1 (6 notes)

White

Spice, apple, pear, minerals and medium finish. Solid offering and enjoyed the 2016 version. Drink now to 2022.
Red

Tasted at the winery. Rock, gravel, raspberries, earth and dusty character. Terroir driven wine. Needs a few more years in bottle. Sample 2021 to 2026. 90 plus
71% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 14% Mourvedre
Red
2016 Dusted Valley Vintners Wallywood USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Wahluke Slope

Red
2015 Dusted Valley Vintners Syrah Tall Tales Walla Walla Valley USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley
93 points
Tasted at the winery. My favorite wine. Stone, raspberries, ripe fruits and firm tannic structure. Medium to long finish. Picks up a buttery note. Complex wine and should drink well over the next decade.
Red
2016 Dusted Valley Vintners Cabernet Franc USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
85 points
Tasted at the winery. My least favorite of the wines tasted. Ripe fruit, oak and tannic. Needs time to settle down. Advise drinking this 2022 or later.
85% Cabernet Franc/ 15% Merlot
Red
2016 Dusted Valley Vintners BFM Dionysus Vineyard USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
90 points
Tasted at the winery. Wood, spice, red currants and pencil lead. Big style wine and long finish. Needs a heavy decant to show well or hold until 2022.
