Introduction

Wow event at Jason's. So theme was Chardonnay and Ray poured some really good wines. Jason poured the Kistler. Then Jason poured the final 3 wines. 2 reds and the Ice Wine. Wonderful event.

2016 J.M. Boillot Montagny 1er Cru Le Vieux Chateau France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Montagny 1er Cru

Simple wine with spice, lemon, Carmel and touch of oak. Don't see this improving too much. Drink now.

2014 Evening Land Vineyards Chardonnay La Source Seven Springs Vineyard USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills

Wow is this good! Best Chardonnay of the night. Spice, floral, wood, lemon and super complex. Rich Wine and long finish. This should drink well over the next five years. Thanks Ray!
White
2013 Stony Hill Chardonnay USA, California, Napa Valley

Mineral driven Chardonnay. This wine is better at room temperature featuring lemon, spice, sour apple and stone fruits. Medium plus finish. I love this style of Chardonnay but could see why many would not appreciate it. Drink now to 2023.
White
2013 Kistler Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
93 points
Here we go. Big wine but balanced. Oak, vanilla, spice, apple and minerals. Rich. Medium to long finish. This should drink well over the next five plus years. Love this wine. 93-95.
White
2014 Domaine Serene Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
91 points
Solid wine but certainly not a top 10 of the year Wine Spectator. Floral, orange peel, lemon and spice. Medium finish. Good wine.

Very poorly made Chardonnay. The only wine I pour out. Lemon, dust and spice. Simple and short finish. Give me a Indian Wells from Ste. Michelle for half the price.

Had this 2 weeks on the day. Chablis like with minerals, apple, shells and pear. Medium finish. Balanced wine and match the quality of the 2013.

Big wine with blackberries, spice, menthol, black pepper and blueberries. Long finish. Probably needs five years in the cellar. Drink 2024 and beyond. Thanks Jason for opening!
