Nose screams of Vosne with spice-filled black cherry. Smooth and plush with silky tannin. Nothing rugged about this wine. A very Vosne-like NSG. Strong showing. 91-92+

Wow, incredibly spice-filled with red and black cherry along with florals. Totally alluring nose. Plush, round fruit with great concentration. Silky mouthfeel. Intense and seductive finish. 92-93+

More dark fruited and brooding on the nose vs. the Beaumonts. The palate has great concentration and layering. Terrific spice, florals in the red and black cherry. Very impressive. Will need serious cellaring. 92-93+

Dense and brooding on the nose. Wow, so much depth and proportion to this wine. Significant fruit concentration. For all of its power the wine shows depth and nuance on the edges. An epic wine in the making. 95-97+

Seriously full nose with more red fruit and flashy spice vs. the RSV. Similar concentration to the RSV but this has more lift, precision and elegance. Similarly loaded with spice and exotic fruit. Wow. 95-97+

Intensely spicy with exotic black cherry fruit. Similarly silky and flavor to the 2018 barrel sample, but more elegant and less concentrated. Smooth and round. A glass from the same Domaine-provided bottle the next evening had gained weight and intensity, an interesting development in the more classic 2017 vintage. 92-93+
