Flight 1 (1 note)

White
2012 Cantina Terlan Terlano Terlaner I Grande Cuvée Italy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Alto Adige, Terlano
89 points
Drunk over two days. On day one quite interesting, fruity and fresh nose. Lots of extract, medium acidity, creamy mouthfeel, some oak. Massive and bold. High alcohol (14%), but more or less integrated. Serious for sure, but lacks elegance and balance. Medium+ finish. 90-92
On day two, nose has completely shut down and was not appealing at all. Alcohol dominated the palate and the wine was quite heavy to drink. Better with food. All appealing notes from day one are gone. I seriously doubt its potential if it declines so deeply after a day… 87-88 on day two. Very bad PQR.

Flight 2 (1 note)

Red
2017 Philippe Gavignet Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Clos des Dames Huguettes France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits
89 points
Drunk over two days. Young, fruity, fresh with a very nice texture. Quite long, good balance and depth, elegant. Very joyful to drink already. Low alcohol (12,5%). Beautiful wine with some potential for further improvement. Good PQR. 88-90+

Drunk over two days. Wonderful rich and open classic Bordeaux nose. On the palate some sweet extract, medium+ velvet tannin and medium acidity. Classic left bank flavours at its peak. Silky texture, good balance. Joyful to drink. Medium+ length. Potential for at least another decade. 91-92

92 points
Popped and poured, drunk within an hour. Classic Egon Müller Spätlese with lots of ripe and exotic fruit, wonderful ripe, medium acidity. Nice tension and depth. Long and lingering finish. Only 8% abv, Absolutely delicious at the moment, but with a great future potential. 92-93+

White - Off-dry
2007 Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
95 points
Popped and poured, drunk within an hour. AP#07 Wonderful complex and developing nose with ripe apricot, exotic fruit, herbs and slate. I love this perfume. On the palate the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity! Everything is in perfect harmony. The wine has a wonderful density and complexity, without ever being cloying or sticky. Great tension and length. Long, lingering and fruity finish. So joyful to drink at the moment, but with a potential of further improvement for the next two decades! 94-95+

Flight 6 (1 note)

Red
2013 Cantina Terlan Lagrein Porphyr Italy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Alto Adige, Alto Adige - Südtirol
91 points
Decanted for about an hour, drunk over three hours. Wonderful deep ruby color. Intoxicating nose with lots of sour cherries, cassis and elder notes. Some oak in the back. On the palate not as massive as the Terlan I I had a few days before. Lots of sour cherries and casis, medium+ acidity, that handles the 14% abv quite well. High, velvet tannin. Creamy, silky texture. Very joyful to drink. Potential is hard to guess, I would say that this wine is at its peak. 91
