Red
2017 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
Ruby. Bright berry and flower nose. Light, elegant, tart red berry, mineral finish with some grip. Great start to the horizontal tasting with this excellent Chambolle village that is already delightful.
Red
2017 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny Derrière le Four France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
Lighter color than the village. Brambly aromas. Lovely clay-based feel. Pure cranberry fruit, high acidity. Not as charming or approachable as the village wine.
Red
2017 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Chatelots France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Light ruby. Black fruit and some perfume. Elegant licorice and black fruit. Not as acidic as the Derrière Le Four, but more tannic punch and structure. Excellent length. Needs time.
Red
2017 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Light ruby. Very floral and perfumed with some green herb. Subtle, gently sweet red fruit, filled with soil. Fine grained tannins. Absolutely beautiful. To drink and appreciate now for its balance, or fine to hold 5+ years for further development. This should only become more ethereal.
Red
2017 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Noirots France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Light red. Some whole berry on the nose. Medium weight, a bit more solid than the others. More blue fruit than the rest of the wines. Long soil finish with significant but polished tannins. Of the 6 wines, this is the one that begs for more time in bottle.
Red
2017 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers Vieilles Vignes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Clear purple. Killer aromatics that combine succulent berries and gorgeous soil. The ripest of all these wines, and the only one showing any wood, but still essentially elegant in the Chambolle mold. Outstanding mixed red and black fruit, anise, and round tannins. Terrific mouthful now, but it has the structure to last well and gain a great deal of complexity.

Closing

Fourth straight outstanding vintage for this up and coming Chambolle producer, whose wines are characterized by finesse and purity. I really liked the range, and the basic village wine is a sweetheart at the introductory level.
