Red
2018 Mutiliana Sangiovese Sangiovese di Romagna Acereta Italy, Emilia-Romagna, Sangiovese di Romagna
88 points
Part 1 of the Mutiliana project: the same sangiovese clones cultivated in 3 distinct valleys for 3 products with their own personality and characteristics.
Variegated solis, with marls, sandstones and clays, give the wine a complex, and fine personality, for a full, chewy taste, with a promise of a good ageing. The wine is well structured, also if still very young.

Red
2018 Mutiliana Sangiovese Sangiovese di Romagna Ibbola Italy, Emilia-Romagna, Sangiovese di Romagna
83 points
Part 2 Ibbola: a closed valley, with High altitude, poor soils of sandstone and wehere the grape must be collected very late in october. The wine is closed, just with some fruity and earthy hints and yet intriguing, with a good complexity also if not easy drink.
Red
2018 Mutiliana Sangiovese Sangiovese di Romagna Tramazo Italy, Emilia-Romagna, Sangiovese di Romagna
86 points
Part 3 Tramazo: the central and widest valley, with marls and sandstone soils. Vineyard are above 600 metres, giving finess, complexity to the wines. Red flowers and fruits are evident, together with a balsamic touch. Tannins to evolve.

Closing

2018 for the Sangiovese and Whites and 2016 for the Riserva, will be long rememberd as an almost perfect vintage.
