Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Ruinart Champagne Brut Rosé France, Champagne

Walk around tasting. More berry coming through than average, but this is still really all about Chardonnay with a bright finish.
White
2017 Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
92 points
Walk around tasting. You taste this and know it is Grand Cru Burgundy with that unmistakable density, and you know it's Chablis with that saline minerality. Apple and lemon throughout, so tasty now with upside. Good length, better weight.
Red
2016 Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune 1er Cru Beaune du Château France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru
89 points
Walk around tasting. Black cherry throughout comes across as dense and firm to start, not the most accessible, but then long and unfolding towards long-ish finish. A lot here for its terroir and level, even if not perfectly harmonious yet.
Red
2015 Ramos Pinto Douro Duas Quintas Reserva Portugal, Douro
87 points
Walk around tasting. Ripe black fruit with spice notes that lean towards the sweet side. Good length with firm tannins on finish. Enjoyable in its style.
Red
2016 M. Chapoutier Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Bernardine France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
90 points
Walk around tasting. Black cherry with spice, meat and a bit of dirt that sits nicely in the near background. Intriguing combination of lots of mostly old school aromas and flavors here, all in good balance.
Red
2015 Marcarini Barolo La Serra Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
90 points
Walk around tasting. Ripe red fruit with subtle spice, all in a classic package with moderate weight but better finesse. Upside from here.
Red

90 points
Walk around tasting. Starts out in a lighter style with enticing black pepper and savory spice. Picks up weight quickly and easily through finish. So good now, with upside.
Red
2017 Thierry Germain Saumur-Champigny Les Roches France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Saumur-Champigny
85 points
Walk around tasting. Dense black fruit with good density, just slightly too green and tannic. Nearly enjoyable now. Better to cellar a few years?
Red
2016 Hirsch Vineyards Pinot Noir San Andreas Fault USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
89 points
Walk around tasting. Bright and fresh red cherry and berry that comes across as ripe, yet easily balanced. Very good now.
Red
2015 Château Clarke France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Listrac-Médoc

Walk around tasting. Ripe and simple, all easy to enjoy with giving it much thought.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Delamotte Champagne Brut France, Champagne
87 points
Walk around tasting. Current release. Good richness, just oddly came across as slightly sweeter than I can ever recall for this wine. Still certainly good.
White
2016 Envinate Valle de la Orotava Palo Blanco Spain, Canary Islands, Tenerife, Valle de la Orotava
Walk around tasting. Intense concentration with crunchy, minerally textures. I'd just like a little more fruit.
White

2006 R. López de Heredia Rioja Reserva Viña Tondonia Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja
93 points
Walk around tasting. There is so much here. Plenty of earthy red cherry, savory spice, roasted meat and leather. This isn't a powerhouse so requires attention to realize how long and texturally brilliant this wine comes across already, even if it far from its apogee (2026? 2036? 2046?).

2016 Vietti Barbera d'Alba Vigna Vecchia Scarrone Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Barbera d'Alba

Walk around tasting. Ripe and fleshy with plenty of power, some clear tannins on finish that aren't perfectly harmonious right now. Good now, but better in another year or three.
Red
2006 Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy Virtus Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Langhe DOC
87 points
Walk around tasting. 60% Barbera, 40% Cabernet, and I found the Cab to dominate. Some enticing complexity here, but lacking a bit of substance or density in the middle. More elegant finish.
Red
2015 Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Vigneto Caggiole Italy, Tuscany, Montepulciano, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
Walk around tasting. Ripe Sangiovese with impressive density, very sturdy middle forward, nearly rustic. Good potential, needs time.
Red
2016 Château de Nalys Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grand Vin France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Walk around tasting. Dense black fruit showing good concentration and the balance quite common for the vintage. Bigger finish nwill need a few years to soften.

2016 Fattoria Galardi Terra di Lavoro Italy, Campania, Campania IGT
Walk around tasting. Dark, dense but not quite brooding. So much here, nearly forthcoming today, but this needs a quiet decade in the cellar, 91-92+ point potential.

Walk around tasting. Black fruit starts out simple, stays simple with a slightly hollow middle. Ok.
Red
2016 Robert Craig Cabernet Sauvignon Affinity USA, California, Napa Valley
Walk around tasting. Big and dense start, maybe a bit too oaky. Less composed right now middle forward. Good enough in its style, but not a style that thrills me.
Red

Walk around tasting. Very rich and dense, but everything stays in harmony and the ripeness is balanced and held in check with all other flavor and structural components. Very fun and interesting.
