Magnum. Still young and primary. Good fruit and richness, though I think it will fill out with more time. Plenty of minerality and crisp fruit right now.

Just terrific. The aromas are superb -- dried fruit, dried herb, tar and spice. The palate still has a touch of sweetness to the fruit. A subtle but nuanced finish.

Not in the same class as the '68 tasted side by side. This was more earthy and dirty in flavor, and was largely dried out on the palate. Solid but not distinctive.

So youthful and rich. Really defies its 21 years of age. Mostly about the fruit right now with spice and florals adding some interest. Tannins are chewy but enveloped in the decadent fruit. Fun now. Probably a more complete wine in 5-10 years. Preferred the more integrated Sori Tildin side by side.

In an amazing spot right now. Youthful fruit but layered with smoke, spice and florals. Bright aromas. So well integrated and balanced. A big, forward wine but everything is in harmony.

A pretty sharp contrast to the 98 Gaja SSL and ST served side by side. More ethereal and feminine here. Strawberry and cherry with pronounced florals. In a prime window now and should age for decades effortlessly.

One of the wines of the night. Totally youthful and showing so young with bright, round and sweet fruit that is made so complex by dried herb, dried floral and tar notes. Wow. As is the case with most aged Nebbiolo, this needed a lot of air to show well.

Double decanted ~9 hours before serving. Big smoke and tar filled aromatics. Rich fruit and still chewy tannin. Mature but still has plenty of stuffing for a 45-year old. Persistent finish.

Perhaps the most disappointing wine relative to sky-high expectations. Nothing wrong with this wine as it has it all - red cherries, spice and florals - with youthful fruit and structure. Just missing that extra gear.

An excellent wine, if a little atypical in that it has a pronounced bell pepper note that takes you to Bordeaux. Otherwise delicious and complete. In an early stage of it's drinking window.

This has been near perfect the other two times I've had it, and tonight is no exception. It just needs a couple of decades to hit its peak. But already so good. Stuffed like you wouldn't believe but approachable and delicious. Great delineation.

Amazing wine and bested the '74 and '00 Monfortino served in the same flight. This wine is stuffed with rich, complex fruit that is pure and very long in the mouth. Wow.

Sure, this is delicious and a lot of fun to drink now with massive proportions. It also sports an array of flavors with lots of spice. But the best is definitely yet to come. Needs 10-15+ years to really unfold and shine.

Magic how these 100+ year old Madeiras retain their freshness. Complex and layered with nutty and caramel notes.

Late night pop n' pour to take this out for a test drive. Worth the hype. Stuffed with pure, poised red cherry fruit. Has loads licorice and floras. Open knit and welcoming for now. Better in 20+ years.

Late night pop n' pour. Served blind to friends -- though they knew it was Dujac. Many guessing Grand Cru. This has so much stem spice in the nose -- it's so good and so intense. Palate is round and fresh with more stem spice. Delicious and 1er cru density in my view. Should drink well for another 5-10 years.

This is classic Clape with pronounced and intense green olive with some smoke. Meaty, olivey on the palate. A bit thin but delicious and easy to enjoy.

This is a singular wine. Never had anything like. So rich, dense and powerful with intense notes of raisin and spice. Could handle a sip.
