White
2006 Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Cuvée Réservée
waxy style honeyed taste profile. Some heat, but not much. getting a touch flabby. Not my thing, but was happy to try.
Red
1983 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape
I felt there was something a little off in this wine as the smell of wet cardboard persisted. Underneath, was a feminine profile of strawberries and earth. Too bad. Older bottles of Beaucastel can be a true pleasure when showing well.

My last bottle of 6. Good showing. I really like the 200 vintage. not a hot mess as some of the other highly touted vintages. Love that macerated strawberry note.

1990 Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée

Great showing. Touches of purple fruit and garrigue, yet light on its feet. One could tell this used to be a tighly wound beast, but now has mellowed into a sophisticated rendition of CDP.

plums, dense fruit, garrigue. showed well, but compared to others held less intrigue.

1999 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin

tightly compact and thinking this needs more time, but was pretty sauve in its delivery. no rough edges, and very enjoyable.

2001 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Pignan Reserve

light rendition of CDP. Tasted like a beaujolais to me. Crunchy fruit - which I like a lot - others at table didn't care for it.
Red
2003 Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée
Young, tightly wound. tough to compare to others that were further developed and showed more nuances.
