Served blind and this one hell of a ringer. I have had bottle variation with this wine, so was pleasantly surprised this was showing clean as a whistle. Very deep, lurid, old world notes. The 2009 has put on serious weight and even tastes a touch older that a 2009.Not your typical pinot, has more in common with a fine nebbiolo or a south rhone wine done in a feminine way. All that said, very wild notes of cherries, field herbs, mushroms, pine needles and earth.

Pure, elegant, tasting old world. has some age and has put on weight in the form of balance. Not an over powering at all, yet pure and long. Lovely wild berries, some sweet liquor, herbs are finer, not much in olive notes - but enough there.

Served blind. Showed clean and vibrant. Amazing bottle of wine. This is a single site syrah and has aged into a beauty. Very northern rhone, but has a deeper fruit element as well as lots of earthy forest notes. Loved by all.

served blind and had all fooled. Tasted like a lovely bottle of burgundy. Very pure cherry notes. Not a powerhouse wine, quite feminine. I like this a lot. I think I wouldn't much longer on this wine though.

Served Blind. Such a rich yet seamless wine. Deep resonant lemon peel, and lemon candy. touches of bitters. round, acidic and lovely.

served blind. while steely, with air it opens up wonderfully into lemon peel, curds, floral and stone flint. Loved this wine.

served blind. The least favorite of the 3 champagnes. Just didn't have the same depth and complexity as the others. Much more steely. Maybe shut down or needed more air. Still very nice, but on a night where all wines were firing on all cylinders this was just fine.

served blind. loved this wine. serious body. Has a kiwi tropical note that melds perfectly with the lemon curd, lemon peel notes. plenty of acidity, but not over bearing. Drinks great now!
