In a magical 15/10/05/99 vertical. Perfumed nose with red and black berries, clearly very ripe but showing balance right out of the gate. Identical flavors with so much ripe fruit, but structural support just in the near background, also well supported by very elegant spice. Nowhere near its peak (cellar until AT LEAST 2025).

In a magical 15/10/05/99 vertical. Nicely floral and spice with complex red and black berry aromas showing a lot of components, but also with great restraint. Similar flavors with outstanding balance and great length, even if slightly firm for now on its finish. Great now, greater potential. I haven't had this since shortly after release, and like many 2010s has continued to improve from then. Maybe not my favorite of the 4 vintages for today, but definitely the one I'd want in the cellar.

In a magical 15/10/05/99 vertical. Still showing bright Volnay fruit - plenty of red and black cherry - with floral and spice hints. This started out slightly brooding and a powerhouse. Pleasure was coaxed out of this wine over an hour, but this is the wine of the flight that will reward patience the most. 93-94+ point potential.

In a magical 15/10/05/99 vertical. Obviously the most "ready" of the flight, with the most obvious complexity and nuance. Lots of mature red fruit, savory spice and forest floor, with that tiny amount of dirt that thrills me in mid-aged wine. Great now, good for probably another two decades.
