Flight 1 (11 notes)
Red
2018 Domaine Y. Clerget Volnay 1er Cru Les Mitans
Round, rich and powerful red fruits are fresh and well balanced. Good floral notes in the long finish. 90-92
Red
2018 Domaine Y. Clerget Volnay 1er Cru Clos du Verseuil
Spice filled red fruit aromas. Deliciously round ripe cherry fruit with nice floral and spice accents. A complete wine with good balancing acidity and cut. Long finish. 92-94
Red
2018 Domaine Y. Clerget Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets
75+ year old vines. A more packed and layered nose with spice, herb and mineral notes in the red fruit aromas. So much more minerality here in the concentrated red fruits. Long and intense. Cellar for a decade+. 93-94+
Red
2018 Domaine Y. Clerget Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens
75 year-old vines. 20% whole cluster. 20% new oak. Nice rich cherry, herbal and spice character. Palate has chewy, sweet red and black cherry. Plenty of structure and built to last. 92+
Red
2018 Domaine Y. Clerget Clos Vougeot
Top of the slope. 50% whole cluster. 50% new oak. Biggest and most dense wine in the lineup. Ripe red cherry with herbs and spice throughout. Intense spice in the long finish. 92-93+
Red
2019 Domaine Y. Clerget Volnay 1er Cru Clos du Verseuil
Lots of powerful red cherry with good freshness. Balanced.
Red
2019 Domaine Y. Clerget Volnay 1er Cru Champans
1 barrel and 100% new oak. More rich and decadent than the other Volnays. A real powerful wine.
Red
2019 Domaine Y. Clerget Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets
More minerality laced into the plush, lively red cherry. Shows the site well.
Red
2019 Domaine Y. Clerget Clos Vougeot
A step up in concentration is clear even at this raw stage. Good clay, earth notes.
Red
2019 Domaine Y. Clerget Corton-Le Rognet
Wow, terrific concentration. Good mix of red and black cherry. Very dense.
White
2019 Domaine Y. Clerget Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières
Will reserve commentary as this is still very raw. But the minerality of Perrieres is there for sure. Can't wait to try this after it's complete.
