Introduction

Maria's menu:
Anitpasto with Steak Tartare - Family Style
Lamb Mergues salad, Moroccan homemade sausage 'en croute'
Duck Shepherd's Pie
Lamb Shank, potato Boulanger
Poached Bosc Pears

Attendees: David & Jackie Britt-Friedman; Janet & Jorge Carabelli; Elaine Davis; Carlos Deupi; Roberta & David Ehrenreich; Ellen & Mark Friedman(us); Charlie Frumkin; Abe Horwitz & Mady Gonzalez; Greg Johnson; Jerry McGinley; and Jeanie & Gus Vidaurreta.

There were 14 participants, and in each flight of 3 we ranked them 1, 2, or 3. Thus there were 84 points to be awarded for each flight i.e. (14 x (1+2+3=6) = 84. By dividing each wines total by 84 I was then able to assign average point values with theoretically 1.0, the lowest, being best, and 3.0, being worst. At the end of the evening it was truly reflective to then Excel sort all 18 wines.
