Flight 2 - random wines (4 notes)

White
2017 Pearl Morissette Estate Winery Irrévérence Canada, Ontario, Niagara Peninsula, Niagara Peninsula VQA
The wine shows medium to high intensity, heavily on the natural side, orange, grapefruit peel, green and yellow apple, peach, earthy and a few heavier floral notes.
In the palate, the wine shows the same flavour profile with a leaner than expected body, juicy mouthfeel, lively acidity, grapefruit and peach infused medium finish.
Different and “geeky”
White
2019 Tselepos Chardonnay Marmarias Greece, Peloponnisos, Arcadia
The bottle came straight from the winery.
The wine shows medium intensity, plank more than oak cask, a few floral notes next to peach, pear, green apple. With a bit of time, you get sweeter floral notes, riper fruit and some vanilla bits.
The wine is light in the palate with high acidity, 13.50% alc, flinty and plank notes, white peach and pear notes, medium to long finish.
Overall, the wine seems dull and unimpressive though
White
2018 Tselepos Chardonnay Marmarias Greece, Peloponnisos, Arcadia
The bottle came straight from the winery.
The wine follows the same flavour profile with the 2019 tasted before, but a bit more open. There is the same floral note, peach and pear element, with the plank standing
In the palate, the wine is again more open and easier to identify, 13% alc, the oak is more pronounced and so is the flint. The wine shows medium body and long finish.

Truth be told, I haven’t tried this wine for years and the style has definitely changed. Both vintages were brough straight from the winery’s cellar.
White
2020 Ktima Erithrou Rodou Malagousia Greece, Macedonia, Drama
The wine spent 5 months on lees, 12.50%
The wine shows high intensity, floral notes, tropical fruit, lychee, rosewater and lemon leaves.
In the palate, the wine shows vibrant acidity, medium body, a lot of sweet notes, Turkish delight, rosewater, mandarin, lychee and long finish.
A spicier and more floral version this variety, nice effort
