Big boy champagne tasting. Joe's Stone Crab Fried Chicken and Sliced tomatoes topped with cheddar cheese and spinach served warm (YUM!)

N.V. Laurent-Perrier Champagne Grand Siècle Iteration 24 Grande Cuvée

High toned green apple and lemon on the nose. Refreshing entry on the palate. All around fantastic MV Champagne. Well rounded. My 3/6, Group finish 1/6.

2010 Dom Pérignon Champagne

Subdued nose notes of crisp saline, some mustiness and a touch of lemon. Musty on the palate, coarse bubbles. Bubbles faded early vs the other 6 wines and no longer tasted like champagne once they dissipated. Possible there was something wrong with this bottle, but bottle popped upon opening and no known storage issues. My 6/6 and groups 6/6.

Large scaled bouquet with notes of Creamy nougat, a touch of mustiness, and some yeasty-biscuit. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, fine bubbles. My 4/6 and the group's 4/6.

High-toned lemon, honeyed biscuit with some faint mustiness on the nose. Creamy smooth on the palate, love the finish on this one, fine bubbles. My 2/6, the group's 3/6 (finished 1 point ahead of Krug MV grand cuvee 168)

Beautiful lemon, honey vanilla and biscuit on the nose. Creamy smooth bubbles on the palate. A complete champagne in all respects. Just delicious. My 1/6 and group's 2/6 (missed 1st to Grand Siecle by 1 point)

Yeasty funky biscuit on the nose with some dark layered honey and some mustiness. Decent finish. My 5/6 and the group's 5/6.

I did not take down any specific notes on this wine but it was Silky smooth wine with a dark fruited profile. Very tasty!

Bid surprise, thanks for sharing Chris. Birthday vintage bottle shared for CC's birthday. Agree with thirsty1, Dried fig and some raisin on the nose. Silky palate.
Closing
Crazy tasting, not often a Dom Perignon comes in last. Big surprise having the least expensive Champagne (MV Grand Siecle no 24) coming in first. Very fun tasting!
