White - Sparkling
N.V. Ruinart Champagne Brut France, Champagne
87 points
Walk-around tasting. Sweet fruit throughout, ending with a more tart finish. Simpler than usual. Current release.
White - Sparkling
2013 Moët & Chandon Champagne Grand Vintage Extra Brut France, Champagne
88 points
Walk-around tasting. Good weight, showing both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir character. Mostly ripe, with a slightly drying finish.
White - Sparkling
2012 Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne Brut Vintage France, Champagne
87 points
Walk-around tasting. Good richness and volume, slightly lacking nuance. Good now.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvee Edition 169eme France, Champagne
92 points
Walk-around tasting. Floral with apple, lemon confit and orange peel with very good textures and length. 2013 base, with reserve going back to 2000. A very successful edition. My favorite of the Champagnes tasted tonight.
White - Sparkling
2010 Dom Pérignon Champagne France, Champagne
92 points
Walk-around tasting. Bright apple, good weight, overall easy to enjoy, just lacking the depth of great vintages of Dom Pérignon.

White
2012 Domaine Potinet-Ampeau Bourgogne-Aligoté France, Burgundy, Bourgogne-Aligoté
Walk-around tasting. Big and burly for Aligoté, coming across on the awkward side. OK overall.
White
2016 Domaine Potinet-Ampeau Meursault France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
Walk-around tasting. Significant reduction right now, too much to assess at a walk-around tasting.
White
2012 Domaine Potinet-Ampeau Meursault 1er Cru Charmes France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Walk-around tasting. Good richness and depth, but well balanced and bright for the vintage. Not the most complex example of Charmes, but good now. 89-90 points.
White
2014 Domaine Potinet-Ampeau Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Walk-around tasting. A big step up over 2012 Charmes. Brighter, leaner, with good+ depth and volume. Needs time, 90-91 point potential.
Red
2010 Domaine Potinet-Ampeau Volnay 1er Cru Carelle Sous la Chapelle France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru
Walk-around tasting. Lean, slightly angular. An unexpected 2010.
Red
2016 Scherrer Winery Zinfandel Old and Mature Vines Scherrer Vineyard Alexander Valley USA, California, Sonoma County, Alexander Valley
Walk-around tasting. Fun and easy with very good depth. Not the type of wine I typically drink, but a very good, concentrated, and balanced Zinfandel.
Red
2014 Scherrer Winery Pinot Noir Russian River Valley USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
88 points
Walk-around tasting. Very "RRV" with lots of cherry cola, lots of ripe fruit, but also balanced and nearly precise. Good depth. Good now.
Red
2017 Scherrer Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Scherrer Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Alexander Valley
90 points
Walk-around tasting. Black cherry with anise, mint and roast beef. Bright and balanced with a long-ish, persistent finish. Very good.
Red
2013 Pierre Gonon St. Joseph France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, St. Joseph
Walk-around tasting. Spiced and floral start with lots of allure ahead of mostly black cherry aromas. same black cherry on palate, just very austere. Needs plenty of time. Good potential.

Red
2019 Domaine du Tunnel (Stéphane Robert) Cornas France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Cornas
91 points
Walk-around tasting. Ripe black and blue fruits on nose and palate, dense, spiced and nicely concentration, well balanced even with its firm, long-ish finish. Needs at least a few years in the cellar. Very good 91+ point potential.
Red
2011 Domaine les Goubert Gigondas Cuvée Florence France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Gigondas
Walk-around tasting. Rich, dense, fresh, and powerful. Seemingly on the more modern style, with a bit of new oak still protruding. Good now, probably better in a few more years.
Red
1995 Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie
91 points
Walk-around tasting. So much dense black fruit here with an alluring aromatic start. Very long, very firmly structured finish. Not clear where/ when this will deliver the great pleasure it develops in most vintages.
White
2019 Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
94 points
Walk-around tasting. Magnum. Rich and ripe, but with ultra bright energy. So much of everything with good+ volume, great length. Very good now with lits of upside, 94-95+ point potential.
Red
2019 Sottimano Langhe Nebbiolo Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Langhe DOC
89 points
Walk-around tasting. Floral with plenty of red berries everywhere. Sneaky good length. Probably a great value wine.
Red
2010 Sottimano Barbaresco Riserva Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco
Walk-around tasting. Great depth and concentration, but little pleasure right now. Very intriguing potential, but hold until at least 2030 or later. Others enjoyed this more today than I did.
Red
2015 Cavallotto Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
Walk-around tasting. Also intense concentration and depth, but greater balance of fruit, spice and structure here. Nowhere close to complete harmony, but again lots here, 92-94+ point potential, 2030 forward.
Red
1967 Cavallotto Barolo Bricco Boschis Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
Walk-around tasting. somewhat cloudy, slightly clunky, but enough fruit to complement the earthy character. Good now.
Red
2018 Domaine Rion Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
89 points
Walk-around tasting. Ripe red fruit with good weight for its village level. Faint spice and any other nuance, so somewhat simple for now, but certainly both fun and well balanced.
Red
2005 Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Echezeaux Grand Cru
94 points
Walk-around tasting. Ultra concentration, great weight with lots of black fruit. Structure and fruit are now nearly in balance, so this wine is emerging into its peak drinking window, which I expect will last 20 years as this wine continues to evolve and improve further, 94-95 point potential.
Red
2002 Domaine Jean Grivot Clos Vougeot France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
90 points
Walk-around tasting. Nearly fully mature red fruit, faintly spiced, with good+ weight. Slightly more barnyard than I would consider ideal at this young age.
Red
2005 Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
95 points
Walk-around tasting. First time tasting this wine since shortly after release. Rich black and red fruits on both nose and palate. Meaty and firm on palate, but clearly approaching a beautiful sense of harmony. Long, expanding finish. 94-95+ point potential. This is from when Jadot's Bonnes Mares came from both the Morey and Chambolle sides.

Red
1999 Maison Leroy Bourgogne France, Burgundy, Bourgogne
89 points
Walk-around tasting. A wonderful Bourgogne with very good weight for its level. The juxtaposition of earth, spice and fruit give this more charm and nuance. Much better than the last time tasted two years ago (at this same event.
Red
2018 Domaine de Mourchon Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret Grande Réserve France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret
88 points
Walk-around tasting. Ripe with overall balance. An excellent value wine.
Red
2014 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
Walk-around tasting. Well balanced with good enough weight, even if seemingly simple. Not as interesting vs when tasted right around release. Others agreed. Off bottle? 89 points.

Walk-around tasting. Dense and very backward. Lots here, but unclear when this will be more accessible.

2014 Château Le Gay Pomerol France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol
91 points
Walk-around tasting. Ripe black fruit with nearly sweet spice. Good concentration and weight. Good already now.
Red
2014 Tertre Rôteboeuf France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
Walk-around tasting. Backward to an extent it comes across as clunky and not perfectly balanced right now. At an awkward phase now, so unfair/ impossible to assess.
