Introduction

From the 9219 wines tasted by Decanter judges in the 2008 Decanter World Wine Awards, 154 were awarded golds and of those only 97 went on to receive regional trophies. Over 50 of these wines were available to taste in Selfridges' enomatic machines.

Light yellow in colour this Sauvignon Blanc shows a hint of citrus on an otherwise uninspiring nose. The palate is clean, crisp and fruit with good balance and a nice finish.

Deep yellow in colour this wine shows more savoury, mineral and grass notes with a little citrus on the nose. The palate is very sweet, almost honey. Tropical characters. Glad I only paid £2 for a taste - not worth £70 a bottle!
