Red
2005 Sterling Vineyards Merlot Vintner's Collection USA, California, Central Coast

Overwhelming oak on the nose...hint of vanilla. Not a lot of fruit at all. Unpleasant tannins. Pass.
Red
2005 Vinifera Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon USA, California, Napa Valley
90 points
Very impressed. Powerful nose of blackberry, blueberry, and spice. Full-bodied amazing mid-palate with bright fruit. Integrated tannins and a wonderful finish. Can't wait to try in a couple of years.
Red
2005 Norman Vineyards Meritage Buzzard Tree USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles
88 points
Blackberry, currant, and herb on the nose. Nice mouthfeel, medium bodied. Balanced tannins and fruit. Great QPR at $12.
Red
2006 Odfjell Carménère Armador Chile, Maipo Valley
87 points
Funky earth, barnyard, green pepper on the nose. Interesting. Lots of sediment too. Fruit came out after and hour open. Balanced nicely with the funk. I like it for $11.
White
2007 Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc Reserva Chile, Casablanca Valley
89 points
Great SB. Intense grapefruit, lemon, and grass on the nose. Nice minerality and stone in the moth with a zippy long finish. Favorite out of the whites at a tasting.
