2006 Lafouge Meursault
I opened this the prior night, and after a few minutes of air, the vanilla and toast came on strong, round in the mouth, somewhat dull due to low to mid acidity. I did not drink much of it. On the second night, with Liz and Marc, this showed vanilla, cream and a very round, soft palate. Lacks cut and definition.

2007 Francois Pinon Vouvray
Bright, round, light sweetness balanced by juicy acidity, light banana lose, quince, marmalade and candied bitter oranges, all backed up by a bright acidity. There is a hard, steely side to this wine. Narrow and taut in the mouth, nicely delineated, but very effusive with flavor and nuance while it’s well-contained. Bursting, mineral-laced finished. Really impressed Liz and Marc and we all enjoyed.

2007 Clos Roche Blanche Touraine Sauvignon No. 2
More straw than minerals, rounder on the palate than cut, the acidity underlying but not as pronounced. There is an intriguing core of cooked meat - quite unusual - amidst the straw, wool, yellow fruit and white floral notes. Good, but the cut and acidity that I was expecting were toned down.
