Introduction

In So Cal visiting my mom and brother and decided instead of going out, I'd make dinner. Simple dinner of mustard and panko crusted chicken breast, sweet potato fries and a very nice garden salad. My mom's last meal before heading out to participate in a Vacation BIble School on an Indian reservation in the Four Corners area (tent living at its finest). Wines were terrific, food good and company even better...

My brother brought this back from Portugal IIRC. A very nice $13 white wine and terrific wine to accompany shellfish or oysters or sip while cooking dinner for your mom and brother. Nose and palate showed a little lanolin, seashell, lemon rind, a touch of spice and stone fruit rounded it out. Terrific grippy acidity so this should age fairly well. Really enjoyable.

Accompanied the chicken I made for my mom and brother. Popped and poured from a bottle stored in my storage locker since delivery from the winery. THe nose was a very pleasant mix of baking spice, underbrush, green peppercorns and cherry fruit. The palate was nicely fruited with a pleasing texture and nice acidity with a medium length finish. Showing bing cherry, more baking spice, green olive, and a little pine. Hard to tell if it will get better but doesn't seem in danger of falling off either. Very nice from a warm year.
