Still fruit forward in spite of the age with tart black cherry and very subdued toasted oak. Dusty, dry mouth feel with tannins mellowed but still prominent leading to a nice long finish.

Toasted oak dominates. Smooth and mellow but fairly one dimensional at this point in its evolution with modest finish.

Jammy plum and dark berry with toasted oak overtones and a moderate length finish of earthy tannins.

Violets on the nose – tart plum, roses and a hint of licorice flavor with mellow tannins and a medium finish – a superb showing for a 10 year old new world Bordeaux blend. Never guess this was a Virginia wine.
