Introduction

Longboarder was in Dallas for a quick overnight business trip and just had to get together with some DAWGS for a little wine with dinner. Our theme for the evening was French and Italian.

Now onto the show...

Garnet color in the glass, fairly clear hue. Nose of black cherries, black berries, a little smoke and a bit of thatch. Flavors of red berries, Bing cherries and a little raspberry. Tasted February 2, 2010 at an offline. Opened and Slow-O for about 7 hours before serving. Slightly brownish and cloudy looking the glass. Nose of leather, anise, a hint of caramel early on and a bit of camphor. Flavors of licorice, berries and raspberries. Light to medium acidity, resolved tannins, medium body. Based on the performance of this bottle I'd say drink now but this bottle wasn't as expressive and youthful as other bottles I've had before so therefore I'd say drink or hold and give this bottle no rating.
