Introduction

All of the wines were distinctive and very good

Flight 1 (7 notes)

White
2008 DeLille Cellars Chaleur Estate Blanc USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
91 points
Very fresh and lively. Plenty of citrus with maybe just a touch of honey. Long finish. Great.
Red
2007 DeLille Cellars D2 USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
90 points
Very nice and smooth but lively enough to be interesting. Plush fruit comes across a little simple but it is very easy to enjoy. People pleaser.
Red
2007 DeLille Cellars Chaleur Estate USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain
88 points
More acid with good fruit. Needs a little time to meld together.
Red
2006 DeLille Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Ciel USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain
91 points
Very smooth with a little high toned acid showing through. Some light blueberry thing going on up front also. Fresh finish is just a touch green and should smooth out with age.
White
2008 DeLille Cellars Roussanne Doyenne USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain
89 points
Very soft perfumed fruit in the middle builds on the finish. Very subtle but quite a bit of interest.
Red
2007 DeLille Cellars Doyenne Aix USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain
Good fruit with strong acid showing up in the middle with a decent finish. Strong structure.

Red
2007 DeLille Cellars Syrah Doyenne USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley
Big fruit up front and continuing to the mid palate. Acid kicks in on what turns out to be just a little short on the finish.
