2016 Antinori Solaia Toscana IGT SuperTuscan Blend
What an overated/overpriced wine. Just say no!

10/1/20, 6:58 AM - No doubt. It is a fair point that this wine is really too young to give a fair assessment.

Drank at BS Rhone dinner. The nose on this particular bottle was quite funky to start, bacterial, stilton blue cheese. The wine came around by the end of the night but never hit full stride.

For me the big hit of our 5 bottle Italian wine dinner. Medium body. Earthy and lush dark fruits. So consistent. Just got better and better with every sip.

Red
2010 Delas Frères Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Syrah
Very, very purple. There is so much tannin in this wine that the Syrah fruit is overwhelmed by your dry tongue. Needs time, but hard to see it smoothing out.
