1/31/24, 8:31 AM - Needs MUCH more time!
7/31/22, 6:53 AM - But it keeps changing. An hour plus in and it's lovely and later the acidity takes over again. Fresh now.And 15 minutes later perfect balance. Delicious now
3/20/21, 9:04 AM - Thanks.
3/22/21, 5:49 AM - 1998 is the only vintage I have drunk and it wasn't very good!
11/11/20, 4:31 PM - I've only drunk one of mine and put the rest away - at 19 years old it's just beginning (and not as good as either Clos des Papes or Telegraphe
11/11/20, 4:09 PM - Why on earth are you drinking this wine now? Wait 6 to 8 years at least. I'm still drinking the last of the 07s and 08s and some of the 2010s and 11s. Give the wine a chance to show you what it can do!
11/3/20, 9:40 AM - I have 20 left, but there's plenty of other things when we've finished those! Agree about the rasins
2/7/18, 5:23 AM - Maybe you drank it too early. It likes a year or two in the Cellar. It is fantastic value for money. Perhaps you had a bad bottle
2/7/18, 3:42 PM - Try Cervaro - which is Bramito's big brother.
4/26/17, 3:46 PM - E with an acute accent not available on cellartracker! Oldish Beaujolais takes on Pinot Noir characteristics over time - called becoming pinotage with an acute accent on the last e
4/16/17, 5:40 AM - 2007 is a great year in the southern Rhone, though some of theses junior wines may need drinking up. Going to have one for lunch today. Will report if interesting.
2/1/17, 3:53 PM - Why on earth is anyone drinking this wine before 2020? I have just finished the 2005 and the 2007. The 2009 isn't ready and the 2010 is a long way off.
1/27/17, 3:36 PM - I just bought this on the back of Julia Harding's tasting note expecting not to even think about it till 2020 plus. I'm interested - do you think it is a wine to be started upon now?
1/9/14, 2:45 PM - I spoke to the merchant who sold it to me and am going to try another bottle. It reminded my of the Ygay 87 and 94 that was sold to me as the greatest thing ever and every bottle (three left) was taste and down the drain. One more chance!
1/27/17, 12:35 PM - I sent the last 10 bottles back as undrinkable. Fortunately the wine merchant refunded me for the 12.
5/5/16, 2:08 PM - An hour later, really building to something interesting. I've decanted the rest of the half bottle.
12/7/15, 1:41 AM - Are you sure this was D'Angludet 2000? Every bottle I've had from 2 dozen has been mediocre at best. And, yes, I had it en primeur and it has been well stored
11/29/15, 12:25 AM - I think you are talking about red Lagrange not this!
8/30/15, 9:18 AM - I'm not sure that time will cure the problem. Drank the first Brane Cantenac 2000 last night which had a touch of it too, but not enough to overpower the fruit in the way that is happening with the Leoville Barton
6/30/15, 2:26 PM - See my note today if you have any left
12/6/14, 1:21 AM - You posted a white wine tasting note in a red wine entry!
7/27/14, 8:45 AM - Are you sure about the colour? It should be watery pale at this age. I have just bought 2 dozen and I'll be very unhappy if they are darkening already!
6/22/14, 7:50 AM - It is precisely the CA Cab aspect that made me sell this wine. I have nothing against California wine, but I bought this expecting a Bordeaux character, which is completely missing. If I had wanted California I would have bought some, not this. Very sad that a well made wine in the past has gone to become so characterless.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
