Perfect cork with a bit of sediment in the bottle. Deep red color. Strong nose of cedar, anisette, black current and a hint of leather. Tannins are well integrated, cherry and plum come through in the mouth. Disappointing short finish with a bit of spice. Comsumed over an hour, did not improve with the additional air exposure. Overall a nice wine for a mediocre vintage. 86-87.
