Full-bodied, tannins resolved, some fruit remains. Drink up.

Rich and savory, but this needs lots of air.

Drank from a 3L, decanted for 4 hours before serving on Christmas Eve. No formal note but I was very pleasantly surprised by this in light of the WS rating and some CT comments. Probably peaking, this is ready to drink now. Typical cherry note.

Discovered this in Mendoza 9 years ago (same vintage), where it was one of the best bottles of our trip. Found 2 bottles last month at Spec's in Austin. This wine is still going strong. Delicious, concentrated, full-throttled Malbec. Drink now or in the next 3 years with a grass-fed steak!

This is a rich, full-bodied carménère from a high-quality producer. Great QPR, worth seeking out. 90+

First glass after pop-n-pour was unimpressive. After being open for about an hour, I re-corked the bottle and came back to it a few hours later--and it was better.

Thoroughly enjoyed this bottle. Decanted and it was drinking nicely immediately, but greatly improved after an hour. The wine did not divulge much on the nose . . . the pleasure was all on the palate, with lush, concentrated dark fruits. Threw a LOT of sediment.

Cooked bottle? Unpleasant stewed aroma. Plum and cocoa still come through.

popped (unscrewed) this and drank a glass on night 1 -- nothing special to report about the wine, put the cap back on and put it away

different story on night 2 -- rich, deliciously jammy shiraz, a pleasant surprise!

barnyard nose which blew off later; give this about an hour's decant to full enjoy

Burgundian nose, sour cherry. Benefitted from decanting.

Classic grassy sauv blanc, light citrus taste, very quaffable and good QPR. Purchased at winery and consumed next day on beach in Hermanus on honeymoon, so handicap rating accordingly.

Sloppy's 2010 WOTY Night. Gave me sawdust and forest floor on the nose. Something astringent and off in the mouth. Disappointing bottle because I love this wine and chose it as my contribution for a blind tasting. My #7 wine of the night (of 7); consensus #5.

Last glass on day 2. Black pepper and smoke on the nose, menthol note. Waited too long, the fruit was evident but tired. Crimson Tide robbed of a touchdown in Capital One Bowl.

We had been told this bottle was over the hill, but this was still quite a disappointment. Overpowering aroma of menthol, like sticking your nose in a jar of Vapo-Rub. Rusty brown tint. Was not terrible on the palate, but it would be hard for anything to overcome the bracing and off-putting nose.
