I pretty much agree with the reviews on this. I'm rarely above a 94 rating and this is definitely deserving of a 96. Just a superb wine all the way to the last drop.The velvet finish make up for the lack of layers that others have pointed out. Only disappointment is that I had to share half with my wife!

Wow, just a fantastic wine. Had next to the 2019 Heart Stone. This was a clear winner due to softer tannins...just a super smooth wine that was enjoyable throughout. Opened in the bottle 4 hours ahead. Wish I had more.

Had next to the 2012 Heart Stone. 2012 was the big winner...softer tannins as you would expect. It actually held pretty well but as others have pointed out this is way early to open. If you are fortunate to hold these for 10+ years it is definitely worth it.

Oh my, such a great Saxum. Grenache focus seems to create a smoother, less alcohol forward wine than the more Syrah focused Saxum. 94 but contemplated a 95 rating. 3 hour decant.

Perhaps I had a bad bottle but this didn’t do it for me. The acidity and tartness was pretty over the top to really enjoy this wine. Given the previous ratings and my love of similar wines, this has to be off.

Oh yea…definitely some dark fruit with a long finish. 3 hour decant for me, which was great. Very enjoyable with our Wagyu beef fajitas.

Yep, I agree with others. Pretty fantastic. Not surprising from Saxum. 2 hour decant for me. Curious what others prefer on appropriate drinking temperature on this wine. I liked it slightly chilled below cellar temperature. Perfect wine for our pasta dish and 100 degree Texas temperatures.

Really a beautiful Italian wine. Drank next to another spectacular Italian wine that is well known and I would put this one ahead of it right now. Just opened for an hour and poured. Loved it.

Wow, just a really good Syrah. Spice tones were not as pronounced for me but the long finish and smooth structure is what makes this wine amazing. 2 hour decant and continued to get better all the way to the last sip. Excellent QPR!

One of the better Saxums I have had. Not as heavy up front on the alcohol and not as heavy on the Syrah. Really a nice balanced wine with some excellent spice tones. 3 hour decant.

This is the way a CDP should be. Clearly could cellar longer but definitely enjoyable now.
