Bottle appeared to be past its prime. Nothing wrong with the bottle. It just lacked body from being past its drinking window.

Classic '82 Bordeaux, but it lacked body and had a short finish.

Medium-bodied, which was not expected. Fruit on the back of the palate, minerals on the front.

Smooth and well-balanced. The grapes comprising a minority share of this wine really stand out. Not as full-bodied as I remembered, but still great.

Not quite as full-bodied as past vintages.

This port is going to be great. That is quite evident. It's just not quite there yet. Still a little tight. Delicious, don't get me wrong, but in 10-15 years, this will be a blockbuster.

Still very young, but you can tell that this wine is going to be great.

Very young. Jammy and bold with rich tannins. Needs at least a half hour to decant before it really starts to show. Could most definitely benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
