The way to drink this wine is to open it the night before. It needs time to mellow out.

A little hot. I would wait for another year if I had a second bottle. Nice color. Not opaque. Fruit forward with some jamminess that my wife looks for. A fine wine, but for me it was a little too green. Needs time to settle and just chill out.

Not sure it gets much better. Brick red, slight loss of fruit and vanilla-ness, but just so calm to taste. I hardly publish public notes but suggest drinking one bottle now if you are hanging on to a few of these.. just to check in on the '01s. Tasted this back to back with the '09s and the difference in age is so cool to observe. (albeit growing conditions are different, but roughly the same grape %'s between the two cintages)

Really nice wine. Poured one glass through the aerator and one without. I could tell a big difference between the two- with the non-aerated glass being a little greener (tight, more under ripe berry taste). This opens up well into a small oaky flavor, but not too much. Wish I had more!

This needs to chill out a bit. It's too hot to PnP.. yet I opened another bottle only a few weeks after my first. Live and learn. Revisit in 6 months.

Opaque. Tons of black cherry. A bit too forward for my taste, but Do look forward to trying it with meat.

A bit thick, but overall I liked very much. Some vanilla and raspberry jam notes. Didn't pick up too much wood of the last taster.

Good. Not a complete fruit forward Pinot. Phaps fading a bit, but I like that it's mellowing. Definitely needs to come into it's own within the glass (took about 30 to 45 mins to break loose)

Used to NZ Pinot Gris at this point... But nice change of pace. Tastes like the skins left on a little longer, with less citrus but more woody taste.

Seems like this win needs to sit open for 5-6 hours at least prior to drinking.

Hot out of the bottle. I should have let this open up for a few hours.

It's fine. There is nothing "wrong" with it... it just isn't as innovative or sharp as I once remembered.

It's fine. Not as striking as I remembered it in past years. Too many bottles?

I have to admit the more I drink the less I like. Had with pizza. Fine for that meal.

A little fruity the first night... Had second glass the following day. Mellowed, but forgetable.

Inky and more mellow. Sediment. Not "big" by any means.

I'm getting sort of tired of the forwardness of this wine.

I like it, but not as much as my wife.. who typically does not like big wines, so that was a shock. This is chew chew chewy. Forward.

Opened for 3+ hours prior to drinking. Still, pretty weak in the end. Watery almost?

Pretty much like the other reviews of this wine, my experience was that it was watered down and not worth much time.
