The wine looks purple colored. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like cedar, tobacco, leather and black currant (cassis). It tastes like black currant (cassis). The body is medium. The wine finishes medium with surprisingly upfront tannins. The wine has low acidity.

A somewhat weak bouquet of black fruits and earth with rather strong tannins that did soften over 2-3 hours of drinking. A very nice wine but maybe better balanced in 1-3 years.

Intially very off, not corked, nose that dissipated over an hour but left somewhat a barnyard note with little else; the flavor of meat, coco and harsh tannins was not that pleasing I assume a bad bottle
