Opened to check in with the current release. Didn’t do myself any favors by not decanting. Nice structure and will develop into something more.

I think this wine needs a lot of air to blow off a funky nose. Once that dissipated I got a lot of traditional syrah notes with olives, meat, iron. Very nice, but a little pricey for what I originally paid.

My first white label and I can’t say I was overwhelmed. Light pretty nose and a tart finish with high acidity. Plenty enjoyable but I think my expectations were higher than what delivered. I don’t see a huge need to wait on my other bottle.

I was just about to comment on how this is my favorite vintage of annia yet from Dan, and saw that Riesling Fan had the same comment. The texture on this wine is fantastic.

Agree with DANCKIE, I was not overwhelmed by this by any stretch and found a LOT of tart green apple. A little disjointed and not my favorite.

In a great spot.....not sure who put the end of the timeline at 2018, but this is in a great spot. everything i like about the st joe in a more approachable style. fantastic value for the $20 i originally paid and hopefully it continues to remain reasonably priced.
