Dried berries, tea, herbs. Careful, delicate and to me, rather alluring. Classic PdB.

Rather dark and brooding. Dark dried berries, tobacco, spices, earth. Still plenty of fruit and very good length. More to come for sure.

Very sweet, inviting nose of blue- and blackberries, some vanilla, leather and licorice. Fresh, generous, black fruit driven palate without any heat. Long and highly rewarding.

Not much use trying to dissect notes here. Just an extremely stylish, fresh, deep and airy wine, with a citric fruit quality and cool minerality on another level. Nothing tropical or oxidized whatsoever! Right in the middle of the sweetspot for me, and definitely one for the books.

Brilliant light yellow. White fruit, lemon curd, a hint of dried flowers, butter, firmly mineral bacbone. Very fresh, airy, quite detailed, long and graceful.

Very difficult to argue with this one. Grapefruit, stoniness, florality. Deep, deep fruit. Never heavy. Immense intensity and length.

Pears, white pepper, honey. Nice glycerin gloss on the palate, weighty, harmonious.

Still quite dark hue. Nose of tarry cherries, dried roses, hazelnuts, leather and gravel. On the palate, dark and chewy cherry fruit with an elegant dried floral streak and an echo of anise on the still somewhat austere finish. Nice development here, but I will wait at least 5 years before the next bottle.

Brick ruby. Certainly a wine of some pedigree, but no crowd pleaser. Dark, dusty strawberry and cherry fruit. Iron, damp soil, sous-bois, Darjeeling tea, dried flowers. A wealth of nuances, yet fleeting. Puts on weight with air. The palate is lean, autumnal, slightly volatile and extremely long. Tannic, but nothing harsh. Huge complexity, but everything is delivered with a whisper. A meditative wine!

Strawberries, dusty cherries, underbrush starting to decay, some casky spices. On the palate, quite big-bodied and broad, with plenty of dry extract and good length. Still a palpable tannic presence on the finish. A middle-ager per now, not the most elegant but pretty solid, and with probable upside.

An almost forgotten bottle. Dark and quite dense. Nose opens a bit shy, but soon overwhelms me with dried strawberries, cherry, tar, anise, truffle and a whiff of soy. On the palate, just a lovely, slightly rustic melange of dried red berries, earth and spices. Mellow and very long, with perfectly dusty tannins. So good!

A bit closed upfront. Gradually dark, earthy cherries emerging. A wee hint of anise. Deep and dense. Plenty of material. Still 5-10 years from peak, I reckon.

Wow! This was seriously delicious. Barely crushed lime over icy rocks. Butter, yellow apples, some spices emerging as it aerates. Transparent, layered, integrated and extremely harmonious. Not much more to say really. Just very, very pretty. At peak in my book.

Extremely delicate red berry fruit. Airy, layered, lifted florality with the faintest dusting of spice. Lazer sharp palate entry, weightless, intense, very fresh and long. Marvellous!

A cranberry delight which is also very elegantly spiced. Combines intensity and lightness effortlessly. Clean and long. Glorious Pinot, still a few years from it's peak.

At 10, this hits the sweetspot between youth and maturity. The rather warm vintage is evident from the sweetness of pruney fruit and some heat on the finish, but there is impressive depth and complexity to match. Dried rose petals, cherries, wax, anise and some minty herbs and underbrush. Big and bold palate, with very good length and plenty of structure for the long haul, but I rather like it now...

Gorgeous complex nose: Tart cherries, raspberries, dried flowers, tea leaves, moss . The vintage ensures ample acidity, but it is mellow, not harsh, and beautifully intertwined with layers upon layers of autumnal fruit, finishing on a faint echo of sandalwood, with a truly vibrant aftertaste. Extremely elegant and classy, and very close to ideal maturity for me.

A cool climate Pinot for sure. The fruit profile is very red and quite tart. Lingonberries and redcurrants mostly. Very pure, with a dusting of spice which is very appealing. On the palate lean but surprisingly persistent and very elegant. Long. My best Möbitz to date.

Quite expressive nose of blueberries, dark cherries, smoky soil, bark and some nicely integrated old wood. Very delicate notes of fennel and rosemary. The palate has plenty of dark, mouthcoating, almost tarry fruit supported by an immense tannic structure which is just starting to mature. Good length, and definitely seems to have the concentration and structure for further ageing. Beautiful now, though, especially with food!

So incredibly clean and elegant! Sour cherries, redcurrants, pomegranate, freshly cut flowers. Notes of anise and iron with air. Silky, vibrating palate with gloriously persistent red garden berries, tingling acidity and immense length. Obviously only in it's infancy, but too good to miss at this stage.

Wow! A vast improvement from my last bottle. Very earthy, dark cherry fruit core coated with autumn leaves, anise and strong stony notes. Serious and still quite firm on the palate, but the structure has mellowed and the fruit is much more present this time around, showing impressive complexity and length, with a markedly rustic finish. I think this can still go further.

Starts out wearing the oak somewhat on it's sleeve, but comes together nicely with air, showcasing that glorious, breezy red Pinot fruit with some high toned florals in the mix. Velvety palate as usual, with impressive transparency and mindblowing length. Perhaps a bit more introvert than my last bottle, but still stellar stuff, with tons of potential...

An earthy, quite rich style of Chambolle as usual from this producer. Cherry and raspberry fruit, some spicy caskiness that will surely need a few years to integrate fully. Good concentration, firm finish and no synthetics whatsoever. Great stuff!

This is not for the faint of heart. Still dark and dense. Crushed gravel, dark cherries and pepper on the nose, but that's just scratching the surface of an immense complexity of dark spices and decaying flowers. The palate is full and stern, exquisitely delineated, and with the length to carry the stony spicy florals all the way through the firm finale. Lots of life here.

Still quite dense with brownish edge. This was rather stale, firm and unforgiving on our last encounter, but has really mellowed out beautifully now. It smells of the forest and the mountains; earth, juniper, peppery herbs, blood, sweet but dry currants, smoke, heather... The palate is to die for, but hard to describe - so exquisitely balanced and layered with endless reserves of incredibly complex flavours, admirably orchestrated by gorgeous acidity and tannins. Incredible length. A truly grand wine!

A quite rich, somewhat jammy and very forward cherry fruit jumps from the glass, with notes of rhubarb and cloves quickly joining in. The palate is generous and full, yet linear and fresh. Good length. Distinctively Californian, in a good way, and a gem with spicy food.

Deep bricking red. Spicy dark cherry and plummy fruit, with plenty of earthy character, anise, tea leaves and hints of cloves and soy, along with something slightly camphorous. Resolved and quite rich palate, with lovely acidity and nicely rounded tannins. Very Gevrey and very, very good! My best Dugat to date.

Deep rusty. A very mineralic style of Chambolle, with plenty of undergrowth, earth and dark, yet fine-tuned spiciness offering up notes of clove, cinnamon and soy. The fruit is seamlessly integrated into the whole, mostly reminiscent of cherries and plums, but nothing sticking out. Smooth, finely laced and long on the palate, still with loads of fruit and life, and some tannic bite aswell. Terrific!

VERY happy with this bottle! Wonderfully complex old school aromatics with mellow plum and cherry fruit behind a beguilling veil of sous bois. Enticing spicy and leathery notes. Velvety and perfectly "dusty" palate with plenty of layers and gorgeous length. Entirely resolved, and I don't see this improving much from here.

100 % Folle Noire. 650 bottles made. Very complex aromas of dark pruny berries, rosemary, spices and noble woods. At the same time soft and firm, substantial without being heavy. Great persistence. Quite an experience? Highly recommended!

Love this! Dark brick; dense. Perfumed as always. Warm earth, decaying leaves, leathery licorice, plums, dried cherries, pepper. A whiff of blueberries. The palate is still dark-berried, dry, long, with beautifully polished, stony-dusty tannins. Old school, pure class, and still ageworthy.

Still a quite big, juicy-spicy Pinot with plenty of life in it. Starting to show some undergrowth, but as of now it works best with food to balance some of the structure. Consistent.

Quite pale red, but with a strange density. Starts off with shy, extremely crisply defined red garden berries brushed in stemmy herbs and fleeting florals. The palate entry is pure silk, giving way to weightless yet truly multifaceted and very lively fruit, held up by an impressively fine-tuned, tingling acidic structure carrying all the way throughout the intense finale. No sweetness, no heat, no candy, no weight. Very primary, so stay tuned...

Mature coloration, but quite deep. Starts off with strawberries, plums and decaying leaves. After a few minutes, the fruit darkens somewhat and a pronounced minerality steps to the fore; a slightly spicy stony earthiness which is very pleasant and adding wonderful complexity. On the palate, more of the same, still with a clean tannic bite and a slight rustic edge. Harmonious, long, still very much alive and true to the vintage. Gorgeous village!

Still much life left in this! The red fruit (cherries, strawberries) barely starting to take on some secondary notes of decaying forest floor, joined by leathery cinnamon and some dirt. Very nicely concentrated on the palate, yet sleek and long in it's fruitiness, with tannins mature yet still quite pronounced. I think this could improve for at least another 5-7 years.

Pale straw. A wee hint of petrol blows away, leaving the stage open for quite rich and extremely refined white tropicals, supported by intense grapefruit and subtle lime leaves. The palate comes off as both round, weighty and transparent. No shortage of stony freshness either. Stellar wine, and definitely in the zone now.

Pale garnet with significant bricking. Lovely, fully open, layered and deeply complex nose of red berries, sous bois, spices and wet rocks. Silky and equally nuanced on the palate, enticing and very long, with totally seamless fruit and a tickling floral lift. Gorgeous wine at perfect maturity!
