Agree that this is sub-par for Willakenzie. A little rough on entry and lacking the usual elegance I associate with Aliette.

A beautiful example of what makes Oregon Pinot some of the best. Complex and fragrant, yet not over the top. Leaves room on your palette for the nuances.

3/29/14, 5:42 PM - Yes, a great one to put down, one of the best Oregon vintages ever. Emery is always muscular, but compared to some other '08 Oregon PN's its still got plenty of subtlety.

11/2/13, 6:50 PM - This was the first vineyard I ever bought fruit from (we make wine). Len is a jovial fellow, loves to friendly up with the buyers, and on our trip there in '11 to buy Cab, he was saying he was particularly proud of the '07 Monte Regalo. Glad I bought a case and have loved drinking it over the years. The '10 and '11 seasons weren't as kind to Chandler Reach weather wise, but the vintages since have been lovely, so I'm looking forward to the '12 and '13 bottlings of this blend.

A bit of forest floor/barnyard on the nose, which I like in a Pinot, but fresh fruit on the palette with good acidity and tannins. Oak is just right, finish long. Love being able to drink these pure clones.

5/17/13, 6:49 PM - Glad to hear the years have been kind. I'm out of the '06, but have some '07's left.
