Opened for an hour in bottle then decanted...dark, but certainly not purple...still some red and blue fruit on the nose...past it's prime, though still an enjoyable aged Napa Cabernet...integrated tannins with enough backbone to pair with food...short finish.

Splash decant for 30 minutes before first pour...medium red in color...light red fruit on the nose...still a ton of acidity and could easily last another 5-10 years.

Was planning on decanting for an hour...a broken cork that I had to push through made certain I did...certainly more earthy notes than fruit...candidly what I would have opened if I wanted Bordeaux, which I didn't want and wasn't expecting here...finish was short and smooth, but again no fruit coming through...don't think it was a bad bottle...just past its prime for my tastes.
