Initially quite tight. After about an hour it is so much more open. Nose of red fruit, sur bois, cigarbox and spices. Darkly color - at least good to wait 5 years before peak. Medium length, medium complexity. Very good to drink.

Drinking so well now with a perfect balance.

Not often I with joy swirling a barolo in the mouth and the tannin is not overwelming. Here sappy, fruity, spicy, perfumed keeps the tannins in control. 92-93.

Last of 12. Color brick red on edge now, lot’s of sediment. Drank over 2 days. Still a lot of iron and some sturdiness, but softer than earlier. Good palate of mostly iron, blackberry fruit with a medium finish. A bit dry tannins.

Not a hint of wood - just pure clean fruits. Nowhere northern in style - somewhere between Morey and Beaune. Perfect balance and quite long. A delightful glass with high drink ability.

Seems to be closed after initial tasting just 2 month ago. Over several days the acidity overwhelm the fantastical fruit and mineral first experienced. Still long and complex. Wait.

Enjoyed it, good fruit and balance, but lacking in concentration and complexity Up against two 2019’s (Burklin-Wulf and Clemens).

Very impressed with the nose, profound forrest floor and tertiary elements as well as stawberry fruit and leather.

Taste is similar, but more spices and very NsG with grainy tannins.

Ready now.

Coravin samples. Energy and accidity playing together at top level.

Tasted at different temperatures. Obiviusly a top wine with perfect balance waiting to come together. At the moment rich, lemondriven, tons of accidity and vibrancy, mineral.

Very dark colour but pale brick at edge.
Not much expression in the nose, mostly (the usual) vanilla, spices, forrest floor and dark fruit.
Taste is big and bold and wood is all over. Long aftertaste (from the wood elements) otherwise not much going on except for a dry aftertaste. Missing complexity and charm.

Not impressed after 14 years of waiting. Not sure if the solution is to keep remaining bottles makes it better or worse.

Initially nose with popcorn and butter, vanilla and oak. 10 minutes later only Mersault butter was still present.

Rich and full lenght with complex mid palette. Not so PM in style, no citrus or obious minerality. Just so fantastic now and one of the best white wines ever tasted.

Reminds me of 2004 PM Folatiers from Leroy from the time before the world went crazy on her prices.

Level A. From next door family of the producers.
Light and pale colour. Orange in all variations, good balance and complex, could ask for more intensity.

Quite tight and closed. After decanting and swelling for some time it came better. More rustic style and bite than used to by Barolo 2016, more like 2013. But beside that enjoyable to drink, long and complex and balanced with all the right component ready to unfold in +5 years.

Nose open with surbois, strawberry and wild red berries.
Long aftertaste, but somehow unclear middle.
Is 2005 ready or still to wait for.

Has opened a bit more since last tasting. Very sweet and hot (warm year), nose of cherry and strawberry fruit and the usual dry roses and medical gaze.

Still raw tannins, that are much softer on day two however. Better than 2016’s right now - 2016 seems closing down, but will be the prefered wine in years to come. 52 bottles in stock from producer, so a favorite for me.

Stylistically more producers style from GC, than CM. A lot of wood, now nearly integrated. Full body and aftertaste long due to extraction, wood and vintage. Prefer lighter styles than this but well made.

Potential -now tight even on day two. However so much good already now. Quite extracted compared to other 2016 Barolo.

A bit over the top, but then again quite a lot of wood and tight structure. The fruitpart is however to low now and tanins are quite grainy for a VR. Medium long, low complexity.

Excellent shiney dark red color. Nose a bit silent, but cherry and a little prunes appear as well as leather. Taste is medium long, a bit dry at end. More elegant and polished, than giving wow effect. Expected more, but also taken early. No signs of decline.

One of my best purchases of commercial Barolo wine (15 eur). So nice to drink - must be the vintage 2010 that makes it. Bottle 21/25 consumed with delight. Good all round wine where not much attention has been given to it’s components.

Very dark colour and fruit for a CM. More like MsD in style. Wood more integrated since last, fruit is fine, welmade wine, but somehow not talking to my heart.

Spring flowers and all the exotic fruit you can imagine in a cool and still tight wrapping. Acidity for the next century, but fruit can handle it even after one week after purchase! Medium finish. Extrovert nose jumping up with above fruits. Waiting game ....

Beautiful light and elegantly crafted. Mistakenly thought it was the normal I have in 2015 and that is a more broad, four square and “baden” tannins. This is a wine to sip and enjoy for its easy drink ability.

Delicious and finally more ready than my previous bottles. Margaux nose with quite a bit vanilla from cask and ripe blackberry cassis fruit. Taste velvet, sweet, tobacco, oriental spices and tanins not to tight. No hurrying with the last 7/12.

Compared to other 2016 Barolo wines this is not very concentrated, expressive or intriguing. For me it is a lighter barolo version - quite soft, polished and plain, but might turn out to be a very elegant Barolo. On day two it gave away more, so therefore around 88-89.

Bargain for 13 eur in 2021. Elegant sweet nose, in taste profound english sweet liquorice. Lacking 2010 characters and a bit hollow, medium long, fruit is still present, but not for 5 more years.

Darkly colored with orange rim, some sediments.
Nose excellent of dark boisenberry, sur bois, earthy flavors, leather spices.
Taste mostly dark fruited and medium weight - less than expected based on nose. Oranges on top of nose elements and smooth, short-medium finish.

A bit dryness, resolved oak and tanin, so must be at peak now. More 2005 characteristics than Chambolle.

Brick color edge, dark red.
Open perfume of truffles, cigarbox, leather and darker fruit. A lot of barnyard.
Taste medium intense, old style, not so immediate. Like a backward Bordeaux St. estephe from a not so warm year.
We where in doubt, if this was only opening up or as some was saying over the hill.

Nose very open and fruity, taste very well, balanced and medium long.

Style compared to a light version Barolo, mostly red fruit, camphor and medical og tannin lower but still present. Fruity - mostly red fruit with good energy, maybe very little or zero wood.

Swilling a mouthful for a longer time however reviled some disharmony, but not able to pinpoint further.
