the cork has been pulled on this for about 5.5 hours. it looks like a pinot noir with a hint of orange. the nose is a sunny may morning when it rained overnight and everything is in bloom-abstract. wine professional- cherry, strawberry fruit, a very fresh, white floral expression and hint of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and concrete dust over deep wet earth aromas. a little on the full bodied side of pinot noir(med-) but that is not to say it is at all heavy or overdone. there is nice, dense fruit on the palate. the acid and tannin come up on the finish. this is drinking well now but i believe there is structure there to reward two to three years in the cellar.

i sampled this today, the cork has been pulled for about four hours. interesting mix of black cherry, currant fruit and a green/vegetal expression that is right between green-herbal and green-mint/menthol and a bit of tobacco. some subtle baking spice courtesy of the french oak rounding out the nose. very well balanced on the medium + body. there is definitely fruit but it is matched with the green character all hemed up nicely by medium+ tannins and medium acid. a very well built wine with great character.

the nose is a beguiling blend of black cherry, black pepper, a fennel/herbal spice compnent, orange peel and rubber. the palate is bright and juicy with a soapy black pepper edge that turns slightly bitter on the finish. bright acid and barely any tannin to speak of. this is a shiraz for syrah lovers.

redolent of bright fresh strawberry and cherry with a dollop of spice(fennel seed, black pepper) and an antiseptic edge. a hint of watermelon rind? light+ body with matching levity on palate. giving gentle red berry fruit and a touch of barnyard with the aformentioned spice expression. the little sweet one is a little quiet on the palate today.

on the nose a berry/processed grain note is making me think of crunch berry cereal. some swirling reveals an earthy, animal element that says italy to me. medium body. all the components are in harmony on the palate- fruit, earth, alcohol, tannins. a very well balanced, well built wine at home on the table but also enjoyable to sip without food carrying an every night price tag.

copper salmon disc, slight brown rim. candied cherry fruit and spring lilac dominate the nose. smells very fresh. big, well resolved tannins in great balance with mouth watering acidity and body. fruit and floral on the attack, this wine shows a bit of its age on the finish with some earthy, wet fall leaf pile aspects. medium plus finish with good complexity. this bottle is drinking well now with primary fruit still intact but showing some secondary notes as well.

ruby, light pink rim. black cherry, green apple, green bean, horse, dried rose. high acid, low tannin. not giving up much on palate. strawberry, black pepper. i wouldn't touch until it's at least 8 or 9 years old. don't take that out of context.
