This is our "everyday" wine. Not the best wine you'll ever have, but for the $ you can't beat it. Nice fruit, good acidity, well balanced, and very drinkable. We frequently buy all that our local Costco has on hand (2-5 cases). Seriously excellent QPR. As you know, a $100 bottle had better be good, but finding a good $15 everyday bottle is the real magic. Definitely worth a try, and if it matches your palate, you'll want to buy all of it.

Nose has some fruit, and nice characteristics. Very little fruit on the palate. Certainly shows as being from young vines. With that said, still good balance, structure, etc. Overall, not bad. Still tastes like Martin and Rutherford, just not much fruit. Interesting to see how this estate has matured as the vines have matured.

From Magnum. Very nice. Excellent oak/cedar/wood flavors. Nice balance. Could have a touch more structure though. Overall very nice.

Alex brought. Great QPR. Nice smooth Cab. A little more structure would be nice, but for the price, it is very very good.

Quite sweet and fruity. Not enough acidity or tannin to balance well. Not bad, but not enough structure for me.

Nice fruit, quite tannic (as per most Bordeaux) but tannins are quite soft and the wine is very well balanced with a nice finish. Nice bottle.

- Garnet color and aromas of tar and molasses. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of alcohol and black pepper with a medium/full body. Coarse texture with a medium finish.

Magnum at Morimoto in Napa. Just absolutely perfect. I'm not a Chard fan, but this might convert me. Josh makes incredible Cabs, but when a white is what you need (or just want!) this is the one. Complex. Tropical/Citrus. A little creamy but not lick-a-stick-of-butter disgusting. Perfect acidity to pair wonderfully with food, and just incredible balance. This is the Chard for Cab lovers - big, complex and substantial. The '08 was the best Chard I'd ever had, and this one didn't dissapoint. The four of us polished off the Magnum and wanted more...

Double decanted with vinturi. Nice nose of fruit and minerals. Somewhat acidic, so would pair well with food. As it opened, it became somewhat softer and rounder, but still had nice balance of acid and tannins. A darn nice bottle that has very good QPR. Will probably buy some more.

Nose of forest floor, leather, some red fruit, and mushrooms. Some smoke on the nose and palate. Tannins still a little tight, but this should age wonderfully for 5-10 years. More masculine than the Grace vineyard, or even Evenstead reserve, but should be fantastic in the future. Good finish of acid, tannin, some pepper and red fruit. Would pair well with food. Paired extremely well with morel and leek jack cheese!
